Not sold on Sams?! pffffttt

This here is an excellent model. State of the art.

You sure drive a hard bargain, but I'll tell you what. How about I throw in this bumper to bumper protection plan and some all weather floor mats. Does that do anything for ya?

Man it was exhausting wading through the long list of worthless replies in this thread. Collectively we need to reign in the edgy, sophmoric responses before we lose out on any intelligent sport related banter.

Great points about Klein not winning at Colorado or Mizzou, but he got pulled and wasn't responsible for finishing out those games. At least i think. Sams was the man directly responsible for ending the two games I referred to. I think those 2 interceptions are a snap shot of the future Sams at QB. Terrible decisions in pivotal times. Purely going off of speculation of course, I just think a young Klein and Roberson make better decisions in those situations.

I love Sams. Clearly the answer for this season at QB. No doubt an unbelievable talent on the field. I just don't think he will command the necessary QB game to lead us to Conference titles. Honestly I think he gets hurt before too long. But if he doesn't, our passing game will struggle.

Lefty hated the crap out of Chris too.

Go back and look at that thread. I first said no way he ran a 4.3. I then said he would struggle in the NFL.

our dumbass coaches only let him throw like 20 passes before asking him to lead us to comeback victories over ranked teams. he won't get hurt if they let him throw and don't run him 30 times a game. eff you.

Not yet at least. If Daniel Sams was a true winner and 'the man', wouldn't he have found a way to beat Okie St and/or Baylor? Answer this with some thought behind it, would a Sophomore Collin Klein or even a Beasley have found a way to beat Okie St or Baylor? I think they would have. And for that, I'm not sold on Dan Sams as our future stud QB. Future slot or Harper yes.

Sheesh. I just don't get it. Of course the guy needs to improve, but he's #ourguy and will continue to get better. By this time next year every team not named K-State will be envious of our QB.

Good point and relevant because the Coaches have completely botched the usage of Sams from the beginning. This could be true that he simply hasn't had the time to get accustomed to in game passing yet. He did have the entire Okie St game to figure out his throws, but he consistently under threw long and was way off the mark.

He was 15/21 passing and didn't have Lockett or Thompson on the field.

you mean the game he went 15/21? I don't think you know what consistently means.

wait, nevermind.   :buh-bye:

Yes he made some bad throws at OSU. So if you're "not sold" on Smas, as your thread title states, are you suggesting we play Jake Waters at quarterback? Because I'm not sold on his ability to help the Cats get touchdown plays.

This year Sams is clearly the guy. I'm talking about next year and year after. I dont' think Sams can evolve into the QB guy we need to get back to the next level.
