Per Mean Gene the current lighting system at BSFS is coming up on its end of normal service life date and he’s entertaining the idea of installing an RGB capable system. He’s also hinted about that if the fans want that he’d like for somebody(s) to step up and pay for it . . . Those kinds of projects are traditionally not in the “I want my name on that” donor wheelhouse.

He’s also hinted about that if the fans want that he’d like for somebody(s) to step up and pay for it . . . I completely agree as far as doing that blinking lights with the game underway, even if it's only in post score situations. It's very annoying IMO. 

Having purple lights for certain moments during pre-game, halftime, and when the stadium is not in use would be kind of cool.

Kirk Herbstreit marvelling over the Nebraska light show that's being discussed here, no one was even talking about KU or KU fans. It's also hilarious because they have only played to sell outs at the the of the season and the one "home" game they've played this season. To me, it sounds like sour grapes from a wife who thinks he her husband should be coaching at Nebraska or any of the other bigger jobs he didn't get.

People are missing the point, it's not about KU fans not going to games, it's about her wanting to be somewhere else.

Yup and agree w/ Dax on all those this. IMO would be cool to have colors but like, I feel like the blinking, while not often, has gotta be like almost a safety thing, imagine being a 3 or 4 and walking up or down some stairs and it just goes dark. Hell not even being drunk it'd be jarring.

Well, she's not alone.  Lance has applied for, interviewed, and in a couple cases made it to the final two for every single open P5 head coaching position that has come up since he got to Kansas.  It's pretty obvious they both want to get out as soon as possible.
