KCMO masks are coming off Thursday!

pending council approval of ordinance

The gym where I work said masks are now optional which I thought was interesting since we're still required to wear them in office buildings.

I know its unrelated but lol at doing this right before flu season.

We've never done anything for the flu though.

My gym has certain classes masks aren't needed based on spacing and others have to wear them all the time.  The wear all the time is the best time.

The city ordinance says it is. I don't go to it because I think it's safer, I don't want to wear a mask working out. Seems spacing is a pretty common "out" in a lot of city masking rules isn't it?

No matter, it is coming off for everybody but kids on Friday. Just passed committee.

Car got broken into at ward parkway lanes lastnight - smashed in one of the windows and took some stuff.

For those keeping track, since moving to KCMO in mid-summer 2017:

3 window smashing car break-ins
2 hit and runs.

Pretty remarkable.

That really sucks. I am sure you know this but for everyone: don't leave stuff in a car that remotely looks like something someone wants in any urban area.

Doesn't really help with the hit and runs though

that's crazy suck.  Lived in KCMO (plaza and downtown) since 2002ish parking a car on the street and public garage up until this year.  0 break ins, 0 hit and run.  2 drunk people knocking on my door though.
