I'm sure it will be a pretty popular venue for concerts and stuff too.

I don't know how they could justify the price tag otherwise. still seems pretty steep!

How are they going to generate enough revenue to back such a structure? I don't even have a clue where they play now or when they play or if they're even any good. Hope they aren't stealing the Royals future space.

It's all private funding, so we don't really have to worry about that, thankfully.  I'm not a fan and likely won't go to games, but I am super glad that this is happening. I think everyone wins.

I've been to several games the Legends, so this is def pretty cool, but yeah, going to make getting to some games tougher but hey, it looks so cool, and is great for the team. Will miss chillin on the couches though.

yep, this was very predictable. He'll win too, just like the crazy weather dude that ran and says he doesn't believe in climate change. Can't wait for Alford's first really batshit claim to rile up the dummies.

i’d like to say this is a proof of concept for the downtown stad but it really isn’t one, just our woman’s ownership group letting their nuts and labia hang.  this is a big deal.

I think this about the 3rd or 4th domino in a downtown baseball stadium.  It's inevitable now.

I like it when Mahomes picks up the tab.

I don't know what Brittany's ownership share is but knowing how much cash the Long's have, I'm guessing the share isn't much.

I don't know her exact position with the club, but she's the one who announced it at the press conference.

She's a co-owner, I just don't think she has anywhere close to a majority stake.

Joe's pizza by the slice behind Kellys is closing.  Owner is retiring.
