Looked through that proposal this morning, I very much like what they are going for with the look, city market at the center is pretty cool.

very torn on downtown baseball.

Love the idea of it, but coming from the burbs, where'm I gonna park?

There will be plenty of spots to park, but you will also gain places to eat and drink before and after as opposed to sitting in your car or driving right home. It will be great.

how much annually will the royals lose in parking revenue?  guessing offset will be some sort of incentives to build downtown

What did that area look like in 1960/70 when they built the interstates? I'm guessing pretty shitty

All the great spaces in the world have one thing in common - abundant parking.

I'll help future Cire out.
a) Parking in one of the 40k current garage spaces (not to mention new garages that will be built for a downtown park unnecessarily) many that will be located closer than the space you park in at TSC.
b) Park on the Plaza / NKC (maybe) and take the free streetcar in
c) Carpool and have the other guy worry about parking.

It was the 1950s. It was at the peak of downtown

This popped up on my feed this morning. I remember thinking the skyline doesn't look all that different.

Father of 2 Cire think those all options would be a pain in the ass

Downtown ballpark will be a PITA for people coming from the burbs compared to Kauffman, but for elites like me who work downtown it will be incredible

That’s not a bad comparison.

I’m working off the assumption that baseball is attracting a lot more fans.

It's actually a pretty good comp. T mobile capacity is 20k.
