True story - I was working at this sando shop called Adrians Cafe back in high school.

I gutted one of the loafs of bread, filled it with nothing but mustard and ketchup and then taped the heal of the bread back on. I went to the back and punted the KetchstardLoaf into someones yard. A dog then ate the entire loaf while I was LOL'ing but kinda feeling pretty bad.

I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread at all  :dunno:

May be the hardest I've laughed in 2013.

I think you guys are all inventing recipes, not foods. Monsanto invents foods, son.

Monsanto couldn't invent the Oreo frosting corn dog. Only I have the mental power to do that.

mine is a sincronizada, but with the guts of a croque monsieur.

So you're just changing the cheese then.  Got it.  Most innovative.

also the ham, smart guy.  if it was so easy maybe someone else in the entire history of the world would have thought of it first.

Ok, here goes!

I made six rolls with shredded mozzarella cheese kind of sprinkled in the middle and on top. The other two were made with a mozzarella string cheese. I noticed the string cheese made for a much more easily wrapped crescent and definitely a more presentable look, but as you mentioned earlier I thought the string cheese would be a bit rubbery. Nope! It was absolutely on point. Don't get me wrong, shredded is still delicious but the presentation is outmatched but that of the string. I also had a garlic butter crescent roll from Pilsbury, that made for some bold flavors. The pepperoni was sliced fresh from the price chopper deli  :D

The only bad thing about the rolls is that I ate all 8 of them and feel like total crap now because I can't digest dairy  :barf:

Totally worth it though. Thanks for stringing up the idea!

Try them with Rhodes rolls and just cut chunks off a block of cheap mozzarella.

Taco-ish thing I had for dinner.

Can of chili beans mixed with a George Foremaned chicken breast.  Mixed with half a log of breakfast sausage I had smoked two weeks ago and stuck in the freezer.  Seasoned with sirracha cumin and pepper.  Taco style on a warm corn tortilla.  Pretty damn good.

Side note that may be luked? Smoke full 1lb logs of breakfast sausage.  Takes a couple hrs but is a great app for those ribs/pork butt/brisket or whatever else you are smoking.

Like the comments said, the point of ramen is to be cheap. What's the point when you add bok choy and tofu? Just get some real food if you're OK w/ buying those things.

When I was poor, I'd crack an egg in when it was boiling, (and that was it). Great addition - so is a can of tuna.

I'm catering for a party of 60 next saturday and am smoking brisket and pulled pork for sliders to feed the men but the girl having the party wanted something cheesy and deliscious for the women folk

so I came up with a gouda, havarti and gruyere grilled cheese with maple poached pear, smoked ham & stone ground mustard

it's pretty damn good guys i gotta say

that would be pretty interesting to try

it was a sweet italian loaf and i used a griddle weight to mush it down

the whole thing was almost too sweet so I added the stone mustard to reign it back some and it is a perfect balance now

Where did you get the idea to put a pear on it?  I feel like that's something I could really get behind there.  Looks/sounds fantastic.

I was drinking a chardonnay with a very heavy pear nose on it and while enjoying it with some cheese I just got to thinking

so I just got creative at that point

it's super easy to make and I can even tell you how
