ok boys, mind blower number dos

first, make home made beef stew, it's not hard.  then get a 36 pack of La Tiara taco shells

warm the lovely shells in the oven 250 degrees for about 10 mins (preheat the oven first otherwise  )

put the beef stew into the taco shell.  enjoy it because it's the best food you'll ever eat.  triple-d style, flavortown.

Spray a couple of plastic ice cube trays with Pam, put your favorite chili in them, stick a toothpick in each pod.  Freeze.
Dip frozen chunk of chili in cornbread batter, drop in deep fryer.

make a beef pot roast with potatoes and carrots and onions

strain away all the juicy gravy (trust me, although you might want to save it for something else)

now mash the potatoes

then, lay out a pizza crust and then add the roast, carrots and onions

then put mashed potatoes on top like melted cheese

then bake

pizza roast

i wish i could prove it but i'm 99% sure you did not invent this.  since i cannot prove it, your food invention has not been eliminated but it is on probation.  if evidence is found to undermine your claim during the probationary period then  your food invention most certainly will be eliminated, without remorse.  sorry son.  u digg

Mac & Cheese mixed with Cream of Mushroom soup

3 scrambled eggs on top of toast, with one over easy egg on top that you crush so the yolk spills out over everything (use a fork!)

I made up a, for lack of better word, salsa. Diced up some spinach leaves, can of heated black beans, pour in salsa until it's the right consistency. Eat with chips.

I feel like I'm the only person who knows you put the rootbeer in first, then the ice cream, when making a root beer float. Whenever I'm around folks at a rootbeer float social, seems like dorks are always putting the ice cream in first, then the rootbeer. Hey pea brain, enjoy your one drop of rootbeer and 9 inches of foam!

So to answer Clamareno's original question, yes, I invented the rootbeer first method of rootbeer float construction.

Blend salsa and cream cheese.

OR (not AND....very important)

blend black beans (whole), raspberry (or similar) jalapeno jam stuff, sour cream, shredded cheese, cumin, other mexican-y things in frig, important ingredients are first two

Serve either of these blended treats with chips for a quick app for unanticipated guests or lazy tailgate which is the situation in which I've had to mix both of these up.

I make mac and cheese without milk. Have done it for years, since the day my taste buds were craving for M&C and I'd run out of milk.

Had no choice but to make the M&C without milk. So, I boiled up the mac, took it off the burner at the proper time, threw in the packet of cheese, and dumped in 3/4 stick of butter (a bit more than the box recipe called for). Then I stirred the mix.

Sat down, ate it, and loved it. That said, everyone I suggest this recipe to says it sounds gross...but they come back later, admit they tried it, and that they will never go back to M&C with milk.

Give it a try.   :lick:

Kindred spirit, apparently, as far as M&C goes.  Most people I know robotically follow the box instructions, which call for milk. Apparently you are no M&C robot.

Most of my recipes are already in this thread:

http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=18670.msg446100#msg446100

easy cheese straight out of the bottle into your mouth until your mouth is almost to overflow then close your mouth and mush it around swallowing it in roughly grape sized globs as it mushes around in there.  repeat until the can is empty.

jenos party pizza made in the microwave instead of the oven so it remains pliable.  when it is hot take it out and roll it up (cheese side in you dumbass) and eat it like a burrito.

velveeta melted with milk until soupy, pour over a huge bowl full of finely crunched up chips and top with salsa. mix together to form a chip/cheese/salsa paste and eat with a spoon.

ben & jerry's cookie dough ice cream, mix in a tube of pre-made pillsbury cookie dough to make it mostly cookie dough instead of the paltry cookie dough to ice cream ratio the B&J's provides out of the container.

Taco Salad Del Steve Dave Bueno Roja:  taco bell 12 pack HARD SHELL (<-- very important).  Crush them all up in a huge bowl with a spoon or hammer or something.  drop on about 30 packets of taco bell fire sauce.  enjoy.

Chili Dog Pizza:  Get a premade pizza crust at the store.  top with a can of hormel chili (no beans you freakos) then about 6 cut up oscar meyer dogs (cheese filled for extra points) then a package of sharp cheddar cheese.  Bake in the oven for how ever long it takes to get hot.  Chow down bros.

crunch up oreas in a big ass bowl.  heat up frosting so it's liquid.  pour over the crunched up oreos.  Dip a wooden spoon in the mass and let it harden.  lift the football sized mass out of the bowl by the spoon handle and go to town on it like a sugary corndog.

get a recipe for onion rings.  instead of onions use funyuns.

I created something called Kale Salad.

Ingredients-
Kale
Sardines
Lemon Juice
Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Hard Parmesean Cheese(Grated)

Coat Kale in olive oil and cook on stove until it takes the consistency of Collard greens. Combine in bowl with other ingredients and stir, make sure the break up the sardines into very small peices.

Cover with foil and place in Fridge.

Enjoy cold

Cook bacon, leave a little grease in the pan
Add butter
Add diced shallots
Add asparagus, sauté for few minutes
When asparagus is almost done, add diced bacon and handful of raisins
Serve topped with pistachio crumbs

BOOM

Dip a wooden spoon in the mass and let it harden.  lift the football sized mass out of the bowl by the spoon handle and go to town on it like a sugary corndog.

get a recipe for onion rings.  instead of onions use funyuns.

hormel chili heated up in the microwave, instead of crackers drop in an entire package of nacho cheese flavored combos.  stir.  enjoy.

The Bomb enormous burrito from the gas station.  Can of nacho cheese easy cheese.  make a hole in one end of the burrito and insert a straw all the way to the end of the burrito.  put the easy cheese nozel into the other end of the straw.  begin squirting easy cheese while slowly pulling out the straw until you have a seam of nacho cheese inside your burrito to make a much better cheese to other filling ratio.  pound that thing.

I am going to tell my GF that I am making dinner tonight and make one of these.  Have not decided which one yet though.  Only veto is Ez Cheez as no way in hell she would eat that.

True story - I was working at this sando shop called Adrians Cafe back in high school.

I gutted one of the loafs of bread, filled it with nothing but mustard and ketchup and then taped the heal of the bread back on. I went to the back and punted the KetchstardLoaf into someones yard. A dog then ate the entire loaf while I was LOL'ing but kinda feeling pretty bad.

I'm not sure if this belongs in this thread at all  :dunno:

Thai ramen

Packet of Ramen (Oriental or chili flavor works best)
can of tuna
egg
soy sauce
sriracha (or packets of Panda chili sauce)
chunky peanut butter
garlic chowder

Cook ramen in a pot with around 2 cups of water, bring to a boil and drop in scramble egg (kind of like you are making egg drop soup).   allow egg to cook, turn down heat and add the tuna.  Add garlic chowder, soy sauce, sriracha, and peanut putter to taste.

Option stuff to throw in if you have it:  green onions, cilantro, lime juice, bean sprouts, shredded carrots

My Grandpa always makes these. Best. Burger. Ever

Wook's Burgers

3 lbs lean ground beef
12 oz Cheese Whiz
1 c grated yellow onion
3 Tbsp prepared French's mustard
salt and pepper

Blend the ingredients together by hand.  Place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1/2 hr to 1 hr.

Form into 1/4 pound patties.

Place on a flat griddle or electric skillet and cook until well done.

Remove from the griddle and place on medium size bun.  Top with 1 Tbsp cheese whiz if desired.

1 can crescent roll dough
1 package sliced pepperoni
1 package string cheese (mozzarella)
1 thing of marinara sauce

place 4 pepperoni's and half a stick of string mozzarella cheese inside a triangle of crescent roll dough. wrap that crap up. make as many as you can and bake on 375 for about 15 minutes. dip in marinara sauce. nom nom nom.

take a block of feta, put it in a mini baking dish thing, put red pepper flake and garlic all over it, drizzle a little bit of olive oil on it so the pepper/garlic doesn't burn up, put in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, take it out and drizzle with some more olive oil, eat with crostini

to be honest, KSC, i'm glad you said that, because i have been skeptical of the string cheese. it is much easier in terms of assembly but has seemed kind of rubbery after baking to me. i haven't tried any other type but definitely will next time.

Ok, here goes!

I made six rolls with shredded mozzarella cheese kind of sprinkled in the middle and on top. The other two were made with a mozzarella string cheese. I noticed the string cheese made for a much more easily wrapped crescent and definitely a more presentable look, but as you mentioned earlier I thought the string cheese would be a bit rubbery. Nope! It was absolutely on point. Don't get me wrong, shredded is still delicious but the presentation is outmatched but that of the string. I also had a garlic butter crescent roll from Pilsbury, that made for some bold flavors. The pepperoni was sliced fresh from the price chopper deli  :D

The only bad thing about the rolls is that I ate all 8 of them and feel like total crap now because I can't digest dairy  :barf:

Totally worth it though. Thanks for stringing up the idea!

Taco-ish thing I had for dinner.

Can of chili beans mixed with a George Foremaned chicken breast.  Mixed with half a log of breakfast sausage I had smoked two weeks ago and stuck in the freezer.  Seasoned with sirracha cumin and pepper.  Taco style on a warm corn tortilla.  Pretty damn good.

Side note that may be luked? Smoke full 1lb logs of breakfast sausage.  Takes a couple hrs but is a great app for those ribs/pork butt/brisket or whatever else you are smoking.

Like the comments said, the point of ramen is to be cheap. What's the point when you add bok choy and tofu? Just get some real food if you're OK w/ buying those things.

When I was poor, I'd crack an egg in when it was boiling, (and that was it). Great addition - so is a can of tuna.

it was a sweet italian loaf and i used a griddle weight to mush it down

the whole thing was almost too sweet so I added the stone mustard to reign it back some and it is a perfect balance now

bone a whole rotisserie chicken then cube up the meat.
then cook chicken flavored rice a roni.  add the chicken to the rice a roni.
enjoy having sex with whatever beautiful puss just landed on your lap because trust me fellas this one drops the panties.

How do you have the energy after boning the rotisserie chicken?    booya.

I was drinking a chardonnay with a very heavy pear nose on it and while enjoying it with some cheese I just got to thinking

so I just got creative at that point

it's super easy to make and I can even tell you how

Trying this right now!

UPDATE: it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing thing in the world, but it's PRETTY GOOD!  :D  Thanks powercat_62!

This isn't inventing a food, but I need help improving a very popular food. I have lots of those taco-sized corn tortillas, but they don't fold for crap, making them useless for tacos.  I flash fried them tonight to make hard taco shells, but they were all wonky, too tight, too wide etc.  Anyone have any lifehacks for making good taco shells?

I kind of invented a food, or a least simplified something so it takes like one minute of prep time.

Crack six eggs into a mixing bowl, pour in a little bit of milk and cheese. Mix it up, pour it into muffin tins, and bake. It's basically frittata muffins.

he guys, i think i might have invented a new food again

it's a portobello mushroom wrap but oh so much more

(https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi60.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh27%2Fpoimen%2F20130603_212619_zps00936502.jpg&hash=97f1288c6a2518b09ffe480258337666c2a5937d) (http://s60.photobucket.com/user/poimen/media/20130603_212619_zps00936502.jpg.html)

cooked bacon
sauteed thick sliced portobellos and red onions in bacon grease and olive oil, deglazed with balsamic vinegar
added spring mix, feta and a roasted chipotle raspberry sauce

it was pretty delish, the only thing i might do different next time is pickle the red onions for more texture and sharpness

i cook the bacon, set aside, wipe my pan.  put 2 tablespoons butter in it over med-high heat and let it melt and brown.  then drop the egg in it after it turns chestnut brown.  don't over cook the butter/burn it because that sucks.  brown butter eggs are the elitest of the elite.

you can see how the butter browned my egg white on the one in the back, served on english muffin with tobasco.  my gf got me the stupid plate from anthropologie.

Start by taking some thin sliced smoked ham and warming it in the skillet. Remove and put on toasted engl muffin. Try the brown butter eggs and right as you crack them in, sprinkle some fresh cut green onion in the egg white.  Then one you flip it, sprinkle some finely shredded mozz, or any other fav white cheese on the egg white the second side cooks.  Serve on an engl muffin and ham.

well ok fine then, i mean if you have some shredded browns then yeah ok. but dipping a sausage into it? seriously? c'mon man this isn't communist russia circa 1968. there is absolutely no need to stretch that far. might pull a sams and have to get surgery or something. #stretch #eggjuice #dsams

i guess at the end of the day we all just want to capture the nutrient rich eggjuice except for sys the snake lover.  which is really weird since snakes favorite food is eggs and they rely on eggjuice for life

i dip my bacon in eggjuice all the time #virus

true story alert*

my cousin was really good friends with dr dre's (andre young) little sister in college and he told me that the song was originally titled "toast and juice" and was about toast and egg juice but when they all got into the studio they ended up making different versions and to everyone's surprise, the "gin and juice" one kind of stuck. anyway, i guess toast and juice was supposed to be released as a b-side, but that got dropped when dre left death row and had a falling out with suge knight. the rest as they say is "music history".

no. there really was some kind of beef and while i don't know exactly what it was about, i guess it started with tupac and dre but ultimately ended up involving suge and dre. so then dre was like eff it i'm out and then went and did the aftermath thing and the eminem thing and the 50 cent thing. i'm sure you can google it but that's at least how it was told to me.

my wife's cousin used to babysit for ice cube's (o'shea jackson) cousin rodney. anyway as weird as it sounds, i guess the song "it was a good day" was originally titled "it was a poached egg" and had to do with how much cube liked poached eggs. well anyway, he showed up to the studio to "lay the track down" but it was still in use so he went to a side room to hang out and they had various different foods there. anyway that's where he tried his first deviled egg ever and decided he liked it better and changed some of the lyrics to describe how happy he was to have found a better way to eat eggs on that day. the rest, as you would say, is music history.

I make a pretty elite chicken tikka masala but instead of marinating the chicken and grilling it and then adding it to the sauce I just shred a rotis. chicken into the sauce and just spice the sauce extra hard. I do this with about every recipe that calls for me to cook chicken though. not a new food, just a strategy.

i use this same method   great for chicken enchiladas     chicken parmesan        chicken other

Some of the Dillons in Wichita actually sell the shredded up remains of their rotisserie chickens. Nice little time saver. Also, they use it to make a legit ass chicken salad. :lick:

not saying this didn't happen but why not just talk about eating both eggs and how great a day that would have been.  it's not like the song only had to be about eating one type of egg preparation.  i don't know, maybe it did.

herrsonntag just reminded me of a little follow up story to my ice cube story...

the guy that was still in the studio when cube showed up that day was an upstart rapper named reggie noble. he was there working on a song for his first album titled "time for some aktion". anyway, after recording he was pretty hungry so he went to the food room and ran into ice cube. cube, who at this time was still very excited about his egg discovery, offers one of the deviled eggs to reggie, who apparently took one look at them and said something along the lines of "those aren't eggs. those are red, man".

anyway, that cracked the room up and everybody started saying "redman" every time they'd pass reggie in the halls over the next few days. the name somehow stuck and reggie aka "redman" went on to become famous both in music and on the big screen in hits such as how high, how high2 and seed of chucky. the rest as they say is film and music history.

Yielded no exact matches so I guess I invented a new food

needed a 15 minute dinner tonite so I improvised

Started some mini pasta shells to cooking

Got some garlic and butter going in a skillet, added some heavy cream and s&p for a sauce

Sauteed some onions and mushrooms in olive oil, added some beef summer sausage, some shrimp, then a can of rotel and tony's and let it simmer

Put em all together

Dip a wooden spoon in the mass and let it harden.  lift the football sized mass out of the bowl by the spoon handle and go to town on it like a sugary corndog.

get a recipe for onion rings.  instead of onions use funyuns.

hormel chili heated up in the microwave, instead of crackers drop in an entire package of nacho cheese flavored combos.  stir.

UPDATE: my bro mike split it with me because we didn't think the healthy choice 'sta I cooked would save well. he came up with the name "the sick alien" for my new food I invented. I kinda like it. think im gonna go with that.

also, the plastic I used for the HC is pretty thick. cutting it was a real pain. next time ill probably cook the HC with Styrofoam

I like to mix it with the meat before grilling it. Although you can only do it on a George Foreman type grill because if you use it on a real grill it falls through the holes. It's really sad.

CHEK IT

its like a burger, right, but instead of a bun you have two Well-Done dried out hambuger patties like some people like and instead of a hamburger patty in the middle you have a delicious medium rare perfectly cooked juicy hamburger patty in the middle. dress to taste and consume

sure i don't see why not, cheetos are basically carrots combined with broccoli so maybe they can be both.  i'm not good with nutritional data but i'd be shocked if carrots and broccoli are significantly better for you than cheetos.

also i was reading online that doritos basically = kale

The other day I invented oven smores.

1. Take graham crackers (break in half).
2. Put a dollop of marshmallow cream (that stuff you make Rice Krispy treats with) on each graham cracker
3. Put Nutella in a piping bag (or just use a ziplock with the corner sniped off)
4. Pipe some Nutella on each cracker
5. Bake in oven at 350 for about 5-10 minutes until the marshmallow puffs up.
6. Eat

Going to need a review

it was very good.
for the crust, I used frozen biscuits (3, split in half and shaped like a pizza)
for the sauce, I used over fried eggs cooked over medium  (3, cooked in brown butter)
for the cheese, I used sausage gravy
for the pizza seasoning/oregano, I used fried shredded hash browns

it filled me up and tasted great too

mumped around and made the best mashed potatoes I've ever tasted. Not an invention, but I had never made them before and just went off instinct for little additions that aren't common and wow, you guys. This is probably what I'll be bringing to every holiday from now on.

Smores Waffles -
Mixed some graham cracker crumbs in the batter, cooked, immediately topped with some chocolate chips and marshmallows.  Popped in the broiler for a half a minute or so.  Topped with more graham.

What would happen if you added some choc chips and mellows to the batter, as well?

You would be posting it in this thread.  I don't trust them to hold up in the waffle iron though and don't want to clean a waffle iron with melted marshmallows.

The engorged marshmallow topping coming out of the broiler is a showstopper though.

I turned my favorite summer shaved ice into a salad.  I have never seen it served before so good enough to say I invented it.

Watermelon piccadilly salad with feta.  Some griddled pork chop as well but I did not invent that.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200825/5dc4c31b439cbc4b191295bd29742b00.plist)

sorry stevesie the inventor of the loaded mashed potatoes was basically able to finagle a broad claim. There are very few additions to mashed potatoes that aren't covered under the loaded mash umbrella. Similar ruling was made WRT loaded nachos.

Yeah, when it comes to loaded potatoes and nachos...its like trying to submit a patent for a perpetual motion machine, you might as well just not even waste your time.

Yeah one mistake I won’t make again is the bottom bun got a little soggy may use two top buns next time and make sure tots are under the buns. Conversely I have an idea for a tot chili melt that I may try.

looks awesome, kk.

Last night, we were making quesadillas with some leftovers from taco night. I threw some leftover rice in the skillet along with some shredded cheddar. The cheese fried the whole works into a sort of crispy cheese / rice pancake. I put chunky salsa on top. 7 / 10 would do again.

That sounds like a delicious improvisation, Sandstone Outcropping! Sometimes the best creations come from using up leftovers. Your cheesy rice pancake with salsa on top sounds like a unique twist on quesadillas. It's always exciting when kitchen experiments turn out well, isn't it?
If you ever want to explore adding some extra nutrition to your culinary adventures, you might consider incorporating organic barley grass chowder (https://www.znaturalfoods.com/products/barley-grass-juice-chowder-organic) into your recipes. It's a healthy choice known for its numerous benefits and can be a great addition to various dishes.
