the little man syndrome in our fanbase is going to get really old, really quickly, though.  His name will always be up for big jobs, doesn't mean he's leaving.  If his name is up for those jobs then that means we're having success, so enjoy it.

You don't find using the phrase "little man syndrome in our fan base" while caping up for the eff KU chant, ironic? Are you intentionally being ironic but I'm missing it? That's gotta be it, you're being much more clever than stunted.

I'm talking about how any mentions of Tang going elsewhere sends our fanbase into panic mode.  It's a great thing if our coach is someone other schools would be interested in.

I'm done in regards to the chant.  I'll never see eye-to-eye with people who worry about a word.

The chant is dumb, talking about the chant is dumb, seeing a bunch of k-state fans pointing out mizzou doing it is dumb. It's gotten to the "culture wars/cancel culture" level of back and forth from a bunch of people on all sides giving too much care what some 18-22 year olds do for one song. I wish it didn't happen, but stopping it is impossible.

ku fans do the same things but for other stuff, rip their rough ridin' heads off was a thing I heard plenty of times from them on kick offs, tons of dumb people do dumb things,

Yeah, really. I don't know who or what you're referencing. You're seemingly referencing Tang supposedly lecturing the students for swearing, but he never once did that. Even if he did, in which I'll say again that he didn't, it's real clear that his program has a very different culture than the culture of a Bob Huggins program.

Tang's made it very clear its not about the F word, it's about focusing on the other team rather than our own. He hasn't said anything about a "BULLSHIT" chant or any other time the fans use bad words

The chant is juvenile and makes our student section look boorish and dumb (and inconsiderate of innocent youngsters in attendance), but Tang retweeted a video clip of it.  Maybe it doesn't bother him as much as he has implied.  Whatever.  Replace it with something more clever and/or classy - problem solved.  I don't get the attachment to this "tradition" - particularly if our coveted new coach hates it.

What kind of simple brain thinks that the FKU chant is actually cool or funny?

I've never understood it.  It's just a profane twist of the low self esteem schools who mention their rivals by name in their fight songs.  Like the weirdo cult at Texas A&M.

I’ve said it before, I do like the loud reaction to every perceived slight at the OOD, but the chant makes it look like you have no identity.

The “chant” is so immature and overplayed. It screams insecurity and embarrassment. No wonder we are small timey

If they really want to stop the chant, they should simply stop the game whenever they can audibly detect a group of any material size chanting it.  Then eject the entire student section.  Then continue to the game.  If they find that it's unworkable to clear the student section, simply forfeit the game.

Problem solved.  Do that once or twice, and the students will self-police and stop it before it starts.   Makes you wonder why they don't do this.  Are they just saying they that they don't like the chant?   Do they like winning more than they dislike the chant?

Also, they could they create a new student conduct rule that states that if you are caught doing the chant, you are kicked out of school.  They just start the enforcement by grabbing kids randomly who are observed doing the chant and expel them from the school.

That's very simple to do.

Could also lobby the county or city to pass a $1000 fine for chanting "eff" in a public place. Have the same cops police the OOD that normally walk around Aggieville handing out MIP's.  Grab a few kids, hit them with a $1K fine.  Grab a few more each time it happens.  It will stop eventually.
