if you're spending a fair bit of money, my mother had a gaggenau that is pretty impressive.  i don't have any particular thoughts on cheaper models (the one i have is fine, but i think most of them are).  i got it from here, for at least $150 less than the same model would have been locally.

they delivered to me (free), so yeah prolly some distributorship agreements specific to the brands you're looking at.

appliance shopping is so weird. like, it's hard to get actual pricing of stuff online. you can get msrp but there are no real prices anywhere.
