I wonder what the crowd is going to be like?  Early game, playing for 3rd place instead of 1st, should have let a little air out of balloon for them.  Who knows?

Yeah, they aren't playing for anything tonight really, other than just this one W

They could lose the #3 seed in the big XII tourney if they lose and other things fall right.  Perhaps that is motivating, I don't really know.

There is way too much information in this thread, I am just getting more confused....Are we gonna win or not?

I think I am going to have the nervous poops in the morning until about 3:00pm..

I echo this.  I'm going to start binge drinking at 10am for this game.  Hopefully have a solid dump pre-game and feed my drunk munchies with a fat burrito.

I'm not too worried. We're going to win.

I feel like everytime I watch a game in which a team is playing for something of significance and the other team should have no motivation to win, the team that should have no motivation wins.

not too worried about how osu will score.  their defense is what makes them good.  if kstate can handle their ball pressure, kstate should win.  they can apply a lot of pressure though.

Well, its a good thing we have the best point guard in the Big 12 then.

I just remembered that Rodney going for 30 or whatever in the second half is pretty much the only reason we beat them in MHK.  Scared now.

Well, a lot of our other players played bad (Angel, Shane, Tay, JO) that now more often than not play good.

:dunno:

Plus, Rod is due to shoot really well again.

That's weird. In the OSU-ISU game, I saw very poor defense on both sides. It looked like an NBA game. I'm not too worried about our offensive production.

As with any game, and particularly away games, ball control is critical. Can't lose possessions and give the other team easy points with turnovers. I feel pretty good about this.

The other key is going to be our ability to protect the lane without getting into foul trouble. That is a huge part of OSU's offense. I am very worried about this.

As for whether the Pokes will be motivated, they may not have a title on the line, but they're playing on Senior Day for seeding in both tournaments. We are not catching them at a good time in their house.

All in all, I'm not terribly optimistic about this game, but a lot more optimistic than, say, playing KU. I'd probably say OSU -3.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I have the feeling that this game will be Rod's shining moment again. He will play amazing. Assuming he gets any sort of help, cats win 73-69.

Hope we get a more subdued atmosphere with the 1230 tip.  Makes me a little less nervous, not much though.

JO plays well more often than not?

The last month, especially for what he's asked to do, yes.

Last 6 games; 3.2 oboards, 4.0 dboards, 2.7 blocks, 4.7 points.
