Divorce early in the life of an adolescent (between 4-10) wasn't so bad due to the timing of the divorce.  These children were less likely to be 16 and preggers.  However, divorce during puberty or after led to eroded mental/physical health and increased the probability of dropping out of school.  Bill Self's kids are now at an increased likelihood to smoke bath salts and eat the faces off of people.  Pro-tip: I know Bill Self has a daughter and she is now 50 times more likely to have one night stands.  She may be at an increased risk for STDs, however, so protect your boy.

If Bill Self's soon to be ex-wife has several new "pool boys", the effect of the kids is devastating and they could see lows never seen (such as following Iowa State).

In all seriousness, the effects will probably be minimal due to the SES level of the family.  Therapy is critical going forward (both individual and family level therapy).

I just shake my head. I can't imagine was the poor son on the basketball team is going through. Getting schooled in practice everyday by the likes of such non-entities as Tharpe and Johnson can not be good for his self image. I think daddy needs to give him some PT to reaffirm his love and boost his self-esteem.

My ku buddy is getting a little worried, he's heard self if pretty much gone after this year, lots or smoke about the 76'rs.

I asked him who the next coach would be and he said with a straight face "Brad Stevens, no one else is acceptable"

I think Stevens would go there. Kansas is pretty much the polar opposite of Butler, though. If I were them, I would want somebody who is a proven winner in a major conference.

The local radio stations, the Jim Romes of the national guys, and ESPN would clear the boards and talk for the next week of KU dominance for the next 20 yrs.

SI would commission the creation of 10 NCAA trophies and present them to Brad as he took the podium to announce how excited he was to be in Lawrence and coach Naadir Thompson next season. 

CBS sports would be running clips of all the blue blood coaches crying or looking sad from past moments when they lost and would be presenting them as the reaction of other coaches across the nation.

Yes, but I don't think Brad would bring the same level of success as Bill.

Hard to say.  I think Bill is one of the top two or three coaches in NCAA in my lifetime.

Brad is obvs amazing, but, like you said, the two places are probs pretty diff.
