Bill Self relationship status: It's Complicated

Heard from a source today (I cannot grade this source as anything other than a KU fan as he works in our Topeka office, and I've only talked to him in person a handful of times) that Self was grabbed by the throat at a Lawrence bar/restaurant (can't recall what the name was, but I'd never heard of it until he said it) earlier this year by the husband of one of his lady friends and the person doing the grabbing said something to the effect of, "I don't give a eff who you are, if you eff my wife again, I'm going to kick your ass."

Honest to God I heard this from several KU fans, a couple of them are acquaintances of Bill himself, before I ever read it on a K-State message board. Maybe it's just the price of fame, maybe all the rumors have no basis in fact, but they did not start on K-State message boards. They started in the real world, in Larryville. But to answer you question, yes, 46-3 is pretty rough ridin' unbearable. I hope we get you guys again this season though, would love to get another shot at the most vulnerable KU team in the better part of a decade.

That's good. I was thinking something like Hawk, but it's good to have an outsider's perspective. Wheat is better.
