got me some Meat Mitch

great: cheesy corn, sauces
good: ribs, burnt ends, beans, slaw
disappointing: brisket (dry! tough!)

i live near meat mitch and eat there a lot. the brisket has always been really good, not as good as Harp but still better than most. I would have said something to the server.

eating BBQ there and other places in texas on this trip made me realize how little that I knew of what good bbq was.  those meals were  redefining moments.

my advice on what to say in any food debate is "people like what they like"

that all looks incredible, clams. How where the beans? They look more like "charro beans" vs the "baked beans" I typically see served at BBQ places.

Also, where is the best place to get beef ribs?

meat mitch does them on saturdays, $40 a pop

the only other place that I know that sells them is jackstack and I wouldn’t recommend that place

if you have a smoker, sam’s and costco sell beef plate ribs and they’re pretty easy to make yourself

The crown prime rib at jackstack is top notch.  Don’t listen to clams.  Everyone in the scene has his beef rib power ratings very low.

I get my meats from local pig. Using a traeger on their streaks, chicken breasts, and pork chops have been a delight.

Those look really good.
One time, I got the beef ribs at Jack Stack, ate half of the plate and for the next 24 hrs, I felt like someone had pinned me to the ground and stuffed me full of crisco and charcoal. Maybe that is just the nature of beef ribs.
