Going with a group this weekend, what are the best places to eat in Kc, I graduated from k-state so obviously money is no object.

The Jazz on 39th is pretty cool, one of my favorite places to eat but its a (gasp) CHAIN Restruarant.

To answer fully I will need more info

1. What kind of food does said group want?

2. What kind of atmosphere(Laid back, wine bar, sports bar, fancy etc)?

3. Is dinner a prelude to getting pak'd?

Best place I've ate there is bluestem. Their chef is nominated for the dozenth time for a James beard award. Never won though. 'Clams will tell you about the capital grille, which is good

With a big group, Jack Stack at the Freighthouse is pretty perfect. Ask the waiter/waitress for a "crap-ton of beans"

Fannings choices: J Alexanders, Golden Ox (Steak), Suchotash for brunch, Oklahoma Joe's for lunch, fogo de chaos, Jack Stack, grinders for pizza, and mccormick and schmicks. You're welcome!

succotash has good brunch. oh man that salmon wrap.

Saw the Golden Ox on a Wal-Mart steak commercial last night. Golden Ox is kind of fun/quirky to go to but the food isn't good at all.

the service at succotash does not make up for the average brunch they serve, it's like the peanut of breakfast joints

i've always thought of bodega as the panty dropper

oh yeah, they have always had awful service. And their brunch is well above average. Definitely better than any west coast excuse for brunch.

Don't go to Jazz at the Legends.  Not awesome.

I would def recommend Jack Stack or Lydias(very good italian) if downtown.  Both are very good and are big and given a reservation should have no prob accommodating a group.
