Doctors are notoriously poor and indebted for life usually. Give it up while you can. I mean, if you ever want a nice house, horses, a nice car, and world travel, you need to find it somewhere else.

yes, not a deal breaker, I'd be more worried about the relationship quality than the financial consequences should it not work.

As long as she is honest about said debt and you are aware of it before the wedding it shouldn't be a problem.

I have a friend who got married a couple years ago then they went to buy a house together after...Found out the wife had terrible credit because she had like 50k in credit card debt that she had failed to mention at any time. Yeah, he was pretty shocked to find that out. Long story short he almost divorced her on the spot but his dad talked him out of it. His mom had recently passed away and he had to use most of his inheritance to pay off the debt instead of using it as a down payment for a house.

In summary- You need to talk about ALL your financials before you commit to spending the rest of your life with someone.

Depends on the kind of doctor. also, a pre-nup won't do crap in that situ. It's not like marrying her then divorcing her will lead to half that debt being yours.
