Every weekend in every season is important to someone. Basically everyone who schedules a wedding is a pretty selfish person.

Have you heard about these no kid weddings?

Agreed. It's nothing but a selfish power move by the bride and groom.

Also... I'm attending two weddings during football season this year. Both are on Cats bye weekends 

I'm going to one this fall. It is also on a Cat's bye weekend. The t-shirt squawk bride and t-shirt squawk/ sooner groom did a great job scheduling.

Got a wedding I'm going to, two 'cats fans btw, on the day of the OU game. Normally this would make me mad cause this has happened to me before when I went to a wedding also by two 'cats fans on the day of an OU game, the result was 24-19 however so yeah, i'm hoping for at least a repeat of that.

Then have a giant boozefest party in the summer time.

I went to something like this a couple of weekends ago. It was fantastic. The best part was being able to partake in a little bit of pre-reception day drinking without  the moral dilemma of being drunk in church.

You guys can do what you want, but The Future TownieFiancee and I will not be getting married between the last weekend in August thru the first weekend in April unless a bye weekend is involved.

Got to be apart of one cause we were at the venue they announced that all who wanted come in the chapel and watch could on Sunday when I was in Vegas. Was pretty cool in that it lasted 5 minutes and was officiated by a KISS costumed Gene Simmons look alike.

Well, of course.  But I can't see that scenario ever happening.

Most KU ppl have nothing going on in the fall. This is a big part of it.

Finding a great hotel rate on a home game weekend is impossible. They'd still require a two night minimum and would likely not give you much of a discount for Thursday night.

Well, of course.  But I can't see that scenario ever happening.

Ok.  That's what we did.  A fall wedding was decreed to us by the funders of the wedding.  We had lemons so that's right we made lemonade go cats!

Not even on bye weekends...consider a wedding anniversary on the day your KSU cats are playing Auburn, or OU, or ISU.

a typical wedding is going to take over 1 year to plan so you have no way to know when the bye weeks will be anyways.  My best advice is get engaged in spring/summer to set up a spring/summer wedding.  It has been uncanny how my anniversary always falls on one of the 3 days of the week there is a Finals game.
