Can someone recommend a plumber/handyman in the KC area for a relatively simple job? Just need the faucet in my kitchen sink replaced but I can't get the job done because I'm a beta city boi. I've replaced a bathroom faucet but this one may need to be sawed off since the "Anchors" that secure the faucet to the sink are "sealed" or something..cant get em off.

Damn, I've been telling my wife I can replace the faucet on our current sink no problem.  Looks like I might be full of crap, I thought it was super easy.

Vielhauer plumbing has been my go to for quite some time.  They get to us quick and are inexpensive.

I redid my master bath a few years ago and didn’t want to mess with setting my own shower base. I have another plumber I have worked with a lot as well. I had both bid the job and Vielhauer was half the price and did great. They have done quite a bit of small stuff for me. 10/10

how elaborate we talkin? I've built several "home alone" style "ziplines" if my time on the ranch but never one I'd, like, open to the public.

there are a ton of cheap pulleys made pretty much for zip lines. get a really good one. that's the piece that will need to be high end. tight metal cable attached to very rigid frames on each end. can't have flex in them. from there I really prefer a thick rope dangling off the pulley v. handle bars. it allows for varying elevation and also makes pulling it back to the beginning much easier. a big fat tow rope has a lot of give to it and will provide some cushion when they slam into the end part. also obviously some springs/braking at the end of your cable helps that even more. but when I was growing up most of the fun was slamming into it top speed and getting launched off the rope. we had a long sand runway underneath the entire run which made wipeouts easier to handle.

ours growing up was a wooden tower on telephone poles. angled ladder up the side. basic wooden walls up top to stop us idiots shoving each other off it. simple as can be.

the giant knot in the tow rope at just above ground elevation when you hit the end was obviously known as "ball buster" so just fyi on that

Noted! I need some small crap done like flip where the disposal is and the hot/cold are the wrong way so just going to buy a new kitchen faucet and have them do all that at once.

Got a MyQ video keypad for the garage. It's pretty nice. that old crusty keypad that everybody has kinda sucked. Biggest worry is the battery life. I doubt I even use the video feature to help save battery, already have a camera back there.

What kind of speeds can you reach on the zipline? Has anyone been injured? If a really fat person used it would it break or would they just get going super fast and then go flying off when they hit the "stopper" at the end?

We need a video of this bad boi in action.

350# weight capacity but heavier people tend to go slower but kids definitely rip ass on it. No one has ate crap other than on a dismount. Definitely need to work on a better brake at the end. The one that came with the kit isn't quite up to snuff. If I could figure out how to upload a video I definitely would. Think the next one I buy will be a much better cable and need to build a platform for it still

i don't know why you guys are being jerks about old houses.
Check out this hot POA.  It needs a lot of work, but you dump 400k into that baby and you're sitting on 7300 sq ft. You're a 3 minute walk from the streetcar, and a short ride down to the Royals game.  All for less than $800k. My wife and I could both, realistically, commute via streetcar from there.  My child(ren) would have issues with schools, but there are some really quality and educational youtube channels these days!

Is that alluring or what?
