I mean you're already at a pretty aggressive schedule but the children have to add 2-3 hours of travel time a day for bathroom breaks right?

Ok so after some feedback and consideration, I think may only do Napa, not SF and just enjoy some chill time in Woodland.

First tip I learned from my dad is, always stop for gas at stations on the same side of the highway as you’re a traveling.

Always use Waze even if you know exactly where you’re going. And never doubt Waze when it comes to unexpected detours.

No unplanned stops.

Google maps does a great job showing you the detour times for different gas stations and might give better alerts in the boonies compared to waze. You can also run both!

I run both. Waze accounts your driving style into the drive time they give you, which means if you speed a lot then they adjust your drive time, which isn't great if you're not speeding. You can turn that off in the settings

Yeah waze is usually more accurate in terms of time. I like maps more in unfamiliar places because it's better with telling you which lane to use and finding restaurants and stuff

Google maps has saved me like 4 separate times in the last couple months by letting me know of crash related slow downs on the highway. One saved me 30 dang minutes!

Soooo, did someone forget to tell me about landslides? Made it 5min away from Hanalei beach and haven’t moved in 35 min and counting. A local dude told Mrs SF that it was due to landslide cleanup, but if I was a local I would make up stories like this to tell stupid tourists too.

Update. Townie man did not lie. Holy crap. Prob moving to Hanalei so I don’t have to get back in line and go back to the Hyatt. Currently bribing kids at a bar/restaurant so I can not go to the beach and keep drinking. I think I’ll be happy here guys.
