Whatever router Uverse gave me sucks ball(s) and taints. If I have more than like three devices connected to the WiFi it is slow as crap. At the max I would have two smart TV's, a laptop, tablet, and two phones possibly connected at one time. What router (is that even the problem?) should I get to fix this?

Have you considered the possibility that it's not the router but rather your internet service? What is the advertised maximum speed that you are paying for?

You can bridge the crap router they give you in to a 5ghz 802.11AC router. The probem is the 2.4ghz band is very congested these days. Do you see alot of other SSID's in your area?
