Everyone hold on.  It appears that pushing that reset button may be different than just unplugging and plugging back in.  This crisis may be solved.

Yeah, now I'm mumped.  I've got internet but it's on generic and unsecured linksys and linksys_media network names and I can't figure out how to make it go back to the way it was with emaw names and passwords.

Yes, I can.  If he can enable remote web access on his router and give me his IP address.  Pretty easy.

I see now it's completely reset, like even the password I had to get into that 192 stuff reset.  But I have been in that before.  Saul could probably talk me through it.

Go there, enter the default username/password (if you haven't changed that yet), go to administration, management, and check the allowed remote Ip address (any IP address), then go to http://www.whatsmyip.org/ and text me your ip address and i'll configure it all for you

It didn't let me allow remote access until I at least changed that password.  Username is still blank.  Let me know if you need the password.

make sure access via HTTP is clicked.  make sure any IP address is clicked/selected.
remote management port is should be 8080.

upnp should be enabled, allow users to configure should be enabled
