It didn't let me allow remote access until I at least changed that password. Username is still blank. Let me know if you need the password.

make sure access via HTTP is clicked. make sure any IP address is clicked/selected.
remote management port is should be 8080.

upnp should be enabled, allow users to configure should be enabled

Got it. I hadn't hit "save settings" when I did that before.

What do you want your wireless network to be? Also text me what you want your wireless password to be. It should not be the same as the router password. Also, do you remember if it was WPA or WPA2? It should say how it was set up on your laptop

Nevermind. It's going to kick you off your wireless in a second. reconnect, it saved your wireless settings.

Network - goEMAW (and goEMAW_media if there's still a distinguishment between the 2 bands)

It looks like I now have goEMAW_media and EMAW. Can you make "EMAW" into "goEMAW", and should I then delete the emaw and emaw_media from the list of networks it tries to connect to (those were the old names)?

My PS3 is turned on.

Will do, delete the old ones and reconnect with the new ones (same password).

You will need to do that on your PS3 too

It doesn't look like the PS3 is going as fast as you had it last time. On the connection test, it says UPnP is Not Available and Download speed is 3.6 with upload speed 1.9. NAT Type is 2, which I recall Cole telling me sucks and should be 1.

Also, did you switch which band is "media" and which isn't? My phone and PS3 are only finding the "media" band. It used to be they could only find the "non-media".

The media band is 2.4 ghz, which is what the PS3/Phone would use.

Try out a game online and see if it works. I can try out an NBA jam game online at some point this weekend to test. NAT type 3 is the one you don't want, 2 or 1 is fine.

OK, that's the opposite of what it was before, which I'd thought made sense - like you'd want movies and games and stuff to be on the less frequented band, but of course that really made no sense as my PS3 and blu-ray player couldn't get on that. Your way makes sense now.

Did you have the page open the entire time? I'm guessing that you did and it had the old settings open "ready to be saved" and when you clicked save settings, it saved the old stuff back.
