Nubb is paying that guy $150k more than we are paying Tuiasasopo, for one.
so ksu can't afford another $150,000 if it means getting better recruits? that seems like chump change to these schools

Frost with a losing record every year and 0 wins against teams with winning records and a roster bloated full of LBs beat our ass for a 4 star LB from Hawaii.
NEB is beating us head to head on every single recruit and put together 3 straight top 20 recruiting classes despite enduring the 3 worst years in their history.
I'd say we need to seriously look at some coaching turnover to get some recruiters in here.
i dont know why we didn't hire the Cal DL coach instead of Tuiasasopo. We would have a couple 4 star defensive players if we would have been aggressive in hiring assistants

nebraska is terrible at football and has been for as long as I can remember. that probably isn't changing in my lifetime.
you can believe that if you want but you probably are not paying attention. Frost has loaded up with 4 star kids for 3 years now. He will have an entire OL full of 4 star recruits a few of which are top 10 at their position.
He's got the #1 TE in america and solid skill players. The defense only has a handful of 4 star recruits but is full of high 3 star recruits with many P5 offers.
they have killed us in recruiting and it will soon show up on the field. I'm not predicting a string of B10 titles but they would have certainly beat us this year and they are going to get better as his recruits become future starters

are we recruiting him solely because of his name? i haven't heard anyone speak that highly of him in high school football circles

my point isnt as much about the results as it is the simple fact that everyone in our tier of schools is significantly outspending us. why is that? why are we trying to save money on something our peers are not? are we spending that money somewhere else? it certainly is not on the coaching staff. are we just saving money to put it in reserve for a covid disaster? are we making significantly less revenue so we can't spend as much as our peers?

why does KSU spend HALF as much as KU and ISU spend on recruiting? we would literally need to double our spending to be comparative with 2 schools i would expect us to beat in recruiting.

I've read nothing about him related to any school other than NEB. interesting given their complete suckiness plethora of LBs already on the roster. This tells me he is choosing NEB because of his recruiter who is also hawaiian and known as a very good recruiter.
NEB hired a young gun hawaiian DL coach where we hired an old hawaiian.
KSU should have hired the guy NEB did. KSU hired a year before NEB did.
Klieman got absolutely destroyed on the DL hire. and NEB is reaping the benefits of a better, smarter hire. bad hires have consequences.

I'm not gonna make too many excuses for our recruiting but Iowa carries more cache than kstate dudes.
you hire coaches that can overcome cache. if they can't overcome cache then they weren't the right hires.

as other poster stated. it shouldn't matter. Iowa had big time racial catastrophe and still brutally beat our ass in recruiting. other teams have finished last in their league for years and severely out recruit us. maybe we need some horrific stuff to happen to us? it really couldn't hurt our recruiting that much

Y'all hear about Mizzou and their scumbag coach scam Nashville and the University of Iowa out of having a bowl game? They had COVID issues with their last game, accepted a bow bid from the Music City Bowl, then didn't practice, they sent their players home after the regular season was over, then pulled out of the bowl three days before it was supposed to be played. They didn't tell the bowl they sent the kids home, so they sold tickets and employed people to work to prep the bowl, these people missing time with their families to prepare for a bowl that was never going to happen. They didn't tell Iowa either, so Iowa has been practicing this whole time, had to suspend workouts for three days last week, so for the back half of the week they couldn't go home nor hang out with their teammates. They came back to practice over the weekend only to find out that Missouri didn't practice and sent their players home.

rough ridin' brutal, he seems really smug about it too

He is such a rough ridin' dork.

But he's a dork that's recruiting entirely too well so far.
he's getting way too many quality recruits. Not sure if its him or his assistants. i dont see the attraction. but if he continues to recruit like this i would steal whatever assistant is doing the work

will we ever have a kick ass defense ever again? I miss the days our DL would be in the backfield on every other play and our secondary knocked down every other pass.
i know our LB situation is going to suck next year but how much worse can it get from this year? I think the dL is going to suck too. We really need a DL coach who can recruit DL studs every year. Fork over another $250,000 per year and get a legit DL recruiter

I listened to gopowercat.com podcast today and their 2 recruiting analysts talked a lot about Rubley but said Howard's high school film actually showed a stronger arm than Rubley.
That is very troubling. among 10 concerning things about Howard his lack of arm strength was #1.
they said Rubley is ahead in ability to see the field and look off receivers.

I would imagine the loser of the 2022 QB competition moves on.

Peace out Howard. Thanks for showing us how good Thompson really was.

I don’t think it’s as much of a slam dunk for Rubley as you think it is.
not when Howard has a 1 year head start on him and a lot of game experience now. Rubley will have to work his ass off and be more talented to be in the competition in 2022. but its a great situation for the program to have skylar  come back and let those 2 spend a year learning and competing. Even the #1 ranked QBs usually spend at least 1 year learning

remind me how scott drew and a town like waco get all these players every year? im not screaming cheaters just wondering if there is a coach on their staff that is the best recruiter in america or just what the story is? the town is middle of nowhere and the fanbase is tiny.

No drew wiley? obviously thompson would be the most important. it would be great to get massie and one of the DTs too. Our defense needs some serious infusion of talent and depth

I mean you can hur hur all you want about Campbell and ISU but it isn’t a fluke they are in the conference title game for the first time in big 12 history. They are beating us for recruits head to head and he is a better coach than Klieman, he is one of if not the hottest name in coaching right now.
this is his best season. he has 3 losses in a shortened season in a down year for the conference. they are good. they are not great. His recruiting classes are not all that. we should compete with them every year

Who would even possibly say they want ISU to win?
well im so tired of OU. i like watching them get humiliated. but i'm dont want ISU to win either. its a no win situation

its gonna be the same 2 teams next year. both teams dominated by juniors
What do you think of ISU's recruiting prowess
not all that impressed. but campbell gets the most out of them.

not heartbroken they aren't going bowling but how in the hell after all the covid that has gone thru the program EVERY WEEK since the summer do they now have so much covid they have to pause activities? shouldn't every kid on the roster have had it by now? we've been missing multiple players every saturday for months

if klieman can't replace those 12 who left with at least 10 better players than he isnt going to last long as a P5 coach. those guys leaving give him an opportunity to make the program better faster.
Kashi, no offense, but you're the rough ridin' worst poster on this blog.  :th_twocents:
