It’s nightmare fuel though. I had a dream about it last night.

He'll be in Manhattan in three weeks.

rubley isn't changing schools because he'll have to be #2 or #3 year 1. now, year 2 all bets are off.

I would imagine the loser of the 2022 QB competition moves on.

Peace out Howard. Thanks for showing us how good Thompson really was.

I don’t think it’s as much of a slam dunk for Rubley as you think it is.

not when Howard has a 1 year head start on him and a lot of game experience now. Rubley will have to work his ass off and be more talented to be in the competition in 2022. but its a great situation for the program to have skylar  come back and let those 2 spend a year learning and competing. Even the #1 ranked QBs usually spend at least 1 year learning

I don't think Howard ever takes another snap in MHK.

Here's yet another reminder that Howard gave the ball to the other teams more times than he either ran or threw it into the endzone in all 7 games he started.

It's not going to be hard to beat him.

Rubley is going to have to be spectacular to be able to start in the fall of 2022. So in that sense it is a pretty great  barometer.

I don't know about that. Unless I'm missing something.

I think it's overwhelmingly likely that our 2022 starter is either Rubley or Howard.  And right now, I'd handicap it between those two at about 50/50.

I don't think this is accurate! Or know why you would exclude Tech.

But I agree improving his decision making and ball control is probably most important for him to make an impact down the line.

Yeah.

I know watching howard this year was super frustrating because he was pretty horrible most of the time, even grading him on a freshman curve, but a lot can change between now and 2022, which very well may be his redshirt freshman season.

I don't expect like quick decision making and pocket presence or knowledge of the plays and defenses and crap out of my freshmen qb. I do expect like a moderate amount of throwing the ball good. that expectation was not, like, met.

I thought he looked good against ULL and Tech. He only got one throw against ULL but it was a good ball that I remember, because I was like wow! He probably wasn't as anxious in those games because there was less pressure on the kid since he came in on relief.
