Can the NCAA ban a school from a future potential bowl game? Can they say "If the stars ever align again and you find yourself with 6 or more wins, that first year, you can't go to a bowl?"

Agree, but we can definitely upgrade some schools, starting with Baylor.

I am all for kicking Baylor to the curb and bringing in just about anyone else. Houston would be my first thought.

That's like trading chlamydia for herpes, I'll pass.

The hell it is! Now I realize that Houston is like the WVU of city schools, but the enrollment is large, they're in one of the largest TV markets in the US, and Houston is a much more fun place than Waco. Also, I'm unaware of any murders and rapes being condoned and subsequently covered up by the U of H athletic department. So it's like trading herpes, a lifelong painful virus that no one wants to be associated with, for a small case of chlamydia, which is just a little infection that can be cleaned up in less time than it takes to prepare for next weeks football game.

Wow, Texas Tech loses to West Virginia. I did not see that coming.

KU was now gifted the road to the championship game.

Mawein may have the weakest hands and grip I've ever witnessed.

He should not be allowed to dribble, at all.

I thought that was Auburn's thing.

You may remember them as the Alabama school that's somewhat able to read.

I stopped reading after he said John Wooden had the streak at UCLA for 13 years. UCLA had 3 different coaches during their streak. I think UCLA streak was more about paying players than great coaches.

From the phog... it's a post that really was not thought out, and may not age well.

That was unbelievably good. Every time I think that the last gif can't be topped... it happens again.

The "fix" is in. B12 doesn't like the look of KU winning the conference every year. Seeing an opportunity to stop the streak and everyone in on it.

For real NATIONAL TITLES are what matters conference titles mean nothing

Oh well, it's been a fun 14 years, we did something the 70's UCLA couldn't do, nothing will ever take that record away

Except maybe Adidas.

Maybe we can take the Iowa State route and win the useless Big XII Tourney title and claim it crowns the true champion, or some kind of bullshit like that.

Let's storm the gates of Kelly's Westport!

I am proud to be omitted from any list that has College Station ahead of Austin, and Springfield ahead of, well, anywhere.

Seriously, that list is total trash and I'm happy we're not on it.

From a squak board watching our game last night...

If I was a ref I would give Weber probably 20 technicals a game for being on the floor

Why they just run by and ignore him is mind blowing.

I don't have the rules of basketball in front of me, but is 20 technicals a lot? Also, if all the referees ignore it, is it still a foul?

It does suck how much games hinge on whether teams make or miss shots.

This is the kind of insight that keeps me coming back.

1957

That's how far back you have to go before KU holds the series advantage over K-State. In other words, you have to be 61 or older today in order for KU to have beaten K-State more times than K-State has beaten KU in your lifetime.

Yes, Ahearn may be old and outdated, but I would love to be able to see what at least one basketball game in there was like.

Wow, Les has given them a serious confidence boost! Even though they haven't beat us in over a decade, we're apparently complete dog crap.

What Snyder did with KSU is turn a team that was thinking about dropping football completely, that was the worst major conference team in history, and make them respectable. His two Big XII titles does not seem like much but they were so god damn horrendous for their entire history they are still like 60 years from catching up to us and we aren't even historically average.

Man I wish we were more than just respectable.

I must say, watching every important mid- and long-range shot drop in against my horns in the final 8 minutes of the game made me a Minister of Ulcers :frown:

What? I know for a fact that I'm not the only alumnus on this BBS.

Sure, you're just not an alumnus of UT.

I just read this entire thread for the first time. While annoying, it was worth it.

Can we start a betting pool on when Fitz & company finally have to shut it all down?
