Kansas State Football / Re: CAN STAN. OFFICIAL POLL TO FIRE STAN WEBER.

Yeah, I've always liked Wyatt. He can leave when he's good and ready.

I'm going to enjoy it when we stack the box against him and then he throws it to our guys, both because his brain will tell him to throw to K-State guys and because he has a knack for throwing it towards opposing teams.

Would you say that's a large hand above, or below bird law?

Not sure this is going to be a true apples to apples comparison. WVU is going to have a rough season next year...er.. this fall with all they're losing. They've also been built for Holgies Air Raid, which Brown doesn't really follow. I don't think Klein has to change as much of our program to get it to fit what he wants... besides talent.

I love it. Every few years, after the new coach is hired, THIS will be the time things change.

Just grab the popcorn, sit back, and wait for the inevitable collapse.

Since we're talking about carrying on traditions, what about Phil the Wildcat?   :dunno:

This is the important question that needs to be asked. I say keep it on the sidelines!!!

The family stick can go on the small bonfire that's being built out of all of Bill's old crap.

How many do they need?
they have 90 losses in the past 9 seasons..........so, 2-10 gets it done......good luck Jayhawks !

It can’t be emphasized enough that virtually every player will be better next season. More focus, better coached, schemes that make sense to the personnel

Trust the guy with a Ring and 3 decades of experience at P5 Level

They're going to win way more than 2 games next year.

Eh, I don't know. Most of the teams that they'd have a shot to beat; TCU, BC, Iowa State... are on the road. For home games, they've got two winnable ones to start the season, and then everything else is questionable until they close the season out with Baylor.

If TCU hadn't screwed the pooch this year, I'd feel pretty confident they go 3-9 next year and become the first program to have 100 losses in 10 seasons. I agree, it's not likely, but the possibility is still very much there.

Wow... KU's class sucks... and they are sitting heavy on juco's again. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/school/_/id/2305/class/2019
6 out of 12. woof

KU fans are all calm about it, saying "he'll get more HS boys. Just has to fill immediate rolls, that's all."

It's Charlie Weis 2.0 all over again. This meltdown is going to be beautiful.

I'm seeing too many of our fans on FB genuinely liking this t-shirt.

KU still going juco route
i think they had 8 visits this weekend and ALL of them were juco kids

Les is going for the quick route instead of coaching them up from freshman. He will use his success after 2 years to jump to a better program. KU will have risen from the bottom of the big 12 to lower-middle and will be able to attract a better coach than David Beaty.

He is 65 years old.  He's not looking to jump to a better program.  He is looking to get paid and go as long as he can at KU.  It was a good move for him because if he can get them to .500 he will look like a God.

If he can get them to .500 we may have to look into him actually being a god.

1. OSU - Us but in orange
2. ISU - Lovable losers
3. Texas - pays the bill
4. Tech - Not as smart as UT, but a hell of a lot more fun
5. WVU - Can be fun
6. TCU - meh
7. OU - Does anyone actually go to this school, or just buy shirts at Wall-Mart?
8. KU - Their entire self worth is based upon basketball
9. Baylor - Shouldn't be in this conference... or allowed to exist

I really really really don't want the NDSU offensive coordinator. For those who don't know he was Proud Paul's OC.

Dear god no  :Yuck:

17
They don't have an 80 year old figurehead atop the program???

I think that this year is a free pass from our fans. Year 3 we need to have success, but I don’t think the fans will turn quickly.

Ron Prince didn't make it a full 3 years, and he never did worse than 5-7. Just saying...

A pretty optimistic bunch.  It's odd to hear KU football fans bragging again.

Well, yeah; it's the off season. They don't have to deal with reality until August 31st.

Bill would eff his dead mother for a dollar.

Yeah, this is the stupid post that precipitated that rant in the other thread. The dude that posted this is almost certainly someone making an hourly wage with no investments and no will for his three kids, yet he's mocking Bill for using his 50 years of coaching to set up his kids and grandkids.

Basic ass bitch.

I'm fairly certain I missed something.

Link?

I like to believe that most everyone who isn't a herp derp realizes that talent and recruiting stars do matter to a degree. However, this coaching search has shown me that we have more herp derp fans than I realized.

Good lord this whole presser has been paying homage to Bill.

$3m* >>>> homage

*for having his ASS CANNED

Interesting point. Why did we choose to pay $3m to a guy who voluntarily retired? It really does make me wonder if Gene fired him and then they both agreed to play this off like a retirement.

23
Gene has gone on record as saying that there is no truth to the rumors that there is a requirement to keep some, or any of the current assistant coaches.

So, do we believe the rumors or the record?
