The fast food Mexican place at 85th and wornall is pretty decent

For a second I thought you were talking about Chellys Cafe which was a go to lunch margs spot when I worked in that area. Had to do some quick Google maps recon and saw that the old Strips Chicken place is now "Abelardo's" which is a Mexican chain from the hotbed of Mexican cuisine.....Omaha NE.
Manhattan just got an Abelardo's and it is hot garbage. We call it AbelarDONT'S
We also got one of those where I live.  Everyone was telling me how good it is.  I went on the 2nd day they were open and it was terrible.  I figured maybe they sucked because they had just opened and were trying to figure out how to add seasoning to their food still.  So I went back a few months later, and I am convinced that everyone in town is punking me.

k_m, xavier worthy has scored 5 touchdowns in 8 nfl games and is 21 years old. are you like salty at veach about jehu chesson?

6 TD's in 9.25 nfl games. still 21 years old.
I still haven't said anything bad about Worthy.

Rashee was the 7th receiver taken in 2023 and performed better than most drafted ahead of him!
Rashee is a good example of the coaches maybe not sucking.

Comparatively, Mecole Hardman was also taken in the 2nd round and was the 5th receiver drafted.

I haven't said anything negative about Worthy, he's less than halfway through his rookie season.  I'm just saying that (save for Worthy) the Chiefs haven't been drafting top-tier guys, so blaming the receiving coaches for lesser-desired guys not panning out is pretty wild.  It's not like they've been squandering away top talent.  Sure Moore was taken in the 2nd round, but 13 other receivers were taken before him, and he's an undersized guy playing at an FCS schol.  It's a high-risk pick, and he probably would have been suited better for Veach to just see that he's not going to get a top receiver use his 2nd rounder elsewhere, and pick up a risky guy with a 3rd or 4th rounder and not a 2nd rounder.

I think the Chiefs WR room failures are because they don't pick the right guys, not because they can't develop them. Honestly, Worthy is the only one more disappointing than their draft position would have them.

You meant skyy moore, Worthy is doing fine
Skyy moore was like the 14th WR taken on the draft.  If you expect WR#14 to have a productive NFL career, then that was your fault.

Worthy is still early, I'm just saying that Worthy is theb only day 1 WR he's taken, so he's the only one you should expect to be a solid NFL player.

Rumour's hyphenated name is a middle name and not a last name.

raclette looks incredible but tastes gross to me. I’m definitely in the minority but I want it to taste like ccq I guess.

I think you're in the majority.  If it were good to the average person, it would be all over fat america.

Migas tacos at Veracruz are a must.

Hamilton Pool is pretty groovy, but I think they are having issues so only part of the area is open.  Still might be neat to see.

I know a lot of folks who were never going to watch football again after kaepernick, etc.  But I see those same people still cheering every Sunday.

3:25 Sunday is the best time for the Chiefs to kickoff, and it isn't close.
mind’s eye with me for a moment-

it’s an unusually warm mid-november sunday afternoon, with warm south-southwesterly winds gently sweeping through the flint hills. the sun is bright and despite having above normal temperatures, the november air is just crisper than just a month earlier.

you’re at home lazily napping through the last few minutes of the titans-eagles game on fox that has garnered roughly 25,000  viewers (total, lol).

you wake up enough to find the remote and flip over to cbs.  the NFL today is on!  JB and nate can’t stop talking about mahomes, it’s a bit embarrassing.  as if they knew they were going on too much about mahomes, they cut quickly to tracey who is on the field at arrowhead and she gets right into the mismatch between the donkeys and the chiefs.  we’re minutes away from watching a generational quarterback and his dynasty creating team take the field.

do I have time before kickoff to make it to the store to grab some cornbread mix to go with the brisket I have simmering on the stove?  can’t risk it, fritos will have to suffice on this day.
I'd pump the brakes a bit on Nix being a generational QB.  He has to prove it, still.

I have never understood how the average viewer can get upset at a first round draft pick.  crap, first rounders only have about a 40% hit rate (signing second contract) anyway.  CEH was obviously Veach's worst first round pick, but guess who signed a second contract with the team that drafted him?

Or be pissed about anything in the draft unless your an ATL or Bills fan this year. It's fun to see guys go but like so much is done on the side deal and trades that the draft is just a way to get in the ground floor with some of the guys. Some teams are very good at it and other suck but end of the day the ones that suck aren't exactly managing the team well anyways so you would be pissed regardless.
The draft is a veritable crapshoot.

I do not understand why they wanted worthy over mitchell, like at all
You don’t have to understand it. Let the people who actually know what they are doing work.
Did the Chiefs hire someone in the offseason who knows what they are doing?

So you think 3 rings is a disappointment? Wow
I didn't say anything close to that.  Dorsey did a really good job.

my experience with a pellet (traeger) is they don't get hot enough so would think a griddle top wouldn't work on a pellet
Gravity-fed grill is the answer.
