No disrespect meant, the challenge has always been Sunday to Sunday and it's always struck me as odd but maybe I'm the odd one  :Rusty:
I agree with you. I get caught off guard when it starts Sunday.

Those are pretty thin slices, though.

Sounds like you guys don’t really like brisket

I like the thick slices by themselves, not on a sandwich, if possible.

Any place serving deli sliced brisket is doing so to hide the fact that they are buying cheap brisket and cooking it to a certain temp rather than cooking to tenderness.

Slaps, q39, chef j, are doing it the right way

pretty much, joe's kc cuts theirs too thin too.  thin cut hides the fact that it's not tender

I probably agree, but i'm in the brisket minority for sure. I love Joes regular beef brisket sandwich and don't care much for the thick fatty slices that are "traditional" smoked brisket.
The thick stuff doesn't make for a great sandwich, for sure.

Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Sure it does, you just have to cut it in triangles
I can't tell of this is a pro tip or if I'm being made fun of.  Good post either way.

If it weren't for that bun, I wouldn't belive a restaurant didn't make that dish.

Hmm, maybe I just don't consider original joes that great then. I've always had a fine meal at ice house.
You are illogical.

****Huge important update on DSM vs OMA****

They seemed like the same airport to me.

maybe the tie breaker should be which one was featured prominently in the big time travel and travel point movie with sexy george clooney Up In The Air?
Yeah, it could be that. Or it would probably be which one has better flights to wherever I might be headed.  One of those for sure, though.

“Go for two” is a really good saying if we’re being honest.

Yeah much better.

Not a chiefs fan but I couldn't disagree any more vigorously. Run It Back was creative, go for two is dull and corny.
Run it back sucked because the only time I had ever heard it before is when someone loses and wanted to try again.

I’m not sure fixing the o-line by next year is the slam dunk you all think it is.

Yeah.  Fisher won't be back, unless he heals like Wolverine.  Getting the Canadian Doctor back will help.  Maybe we can add a couple salty FA guys that will be better depth.
Fisher won't be back because they can't afford him.  Makes it easier to release him if he also might not be 100% by the start of the season.

I don't know the rules with injuries , but I don't think they can just cut him.
They absolutely can just cut him.  If he had any guaranteed money,  they'd still have to pay him that, but he doesn't.

there were enough indicators to say he was going to be really good regardless of GOAT or not.  sounds like you were happy that the chiefs got such a great pick, not because you wished the chiefs ill will.
I expected Mahomes to be just like every other TTU QB that put up big numbers in college.  But I was wrong, he's fantastic!

Yeah, no one ever knows. Just makes me smile friend
It ended up being a great pick.  I hope the Broncos can hit on one.  I'm not sold on Lock, but I'm okay with giving him another year to figure it out.

I don't want to turn this into another dax thread, but April 2017 is such a great re-read and I think I'll make it a tradition to read it after every afc championship. k_m has one of my favorite takes.

As a Broncos fan, I'm pretty happy with that pick.

Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Obviously wrong, but no one else expected Mahomes to be the best QB of a generation.  The draft is a crapshoot, the arguable GOAT was taken in the 6th round.

Sorry dax, this bandwagon is full. I'm sure the panthers will appreciate your continued support.
He called Chiefs 2020 pretty spot on, you guys won't really be able to make Chiefs jokes about him for a while.

That looks awesome. Pork loin is so overlooked because it’s way to easy to overcook and dry out.

I’m going to be a dick and say to let it rest longer if it’s steaming that much when you slice it.

Yeah, everyone was hungry.  I let it rest for like 15 minutes or so, though.

I live like 2 hours NE from Omaha, so it might be a bit out of the way for him.

Which airport is better to fly into/out of?
Omaha or Des Moines?
I moved and now I live smack dab in the middle of both of them, and I fly frequently for work, so what airport do I choose?
Keep in mind, I will spend very little if no time in either city, this is strictly airport related.

Why do you have to pick an airport vs. picking whatever flight from/to either airport is most convenient to you each time?  I bet doing the latter for a bit will somewhat quickly lead you to knowing what's available and what you like and making it standard.
My employer's travel booking site has you choose a *preferred* airport, which only makes it slightly more inconvenient if I want to choose another airport to depart from.

my goodness just change it if you need to. back in the days of travel I did this with SFO and OAK all the time in concur
No, it isn't hard to do, it would take like 30 seconds, but I don't want to go to a sucky Des Moines (if it did suck) when I had a perfectly good Omaha to fly out of.

i tend to think that planes that are more likely to crash, fly into worse airports.  so i always pick the best airport for that reason.
Same.  I did a search and found out that Omaha is about twice as busy as Des Moines, which is why I chose them initially.
