Was googling for info on a decent pellet smoker. I'll never use any traditional smoker that requires very much attention so it seems like a decent option.

Anyway, reddit had some pretty good things to say about the Makers Mark from Sam's Club. Anyone ever use one?

I'm currently strongly leaving towards it as much for the smoke tray as anything although the induction burner might be nice for searing. Downside is it's makers mark, but the reviews make it sound really well built.

I have one that I bought around six years ago.  I hardly ever use it because you will have to babysit this sucker as the pellets don't drop down into the feeder and make a center hole and you will lose the heat setting if you don't use a small stick and push the pellets into the feeder bottom.   Maybe they improved it since then.

Is your auger broken?

No, the pellets don't slide down to the bottom of the feeder and leave a hole around the auger.  Bad design of the feeder, but if you stay out by the grill and make sure the pellets are covering the auger it works fine.

Now I'm hearing it wasn't an OSU fan but a WVU fan and now he has a petition for ppl to sign to remove Utah from the Big XII.  This guy is an idiot!

How many cats would I have to drop off at Lincoln Cure's farm for him to commit to the KSU?

Make sure you also drop off a DVD of the old DBL 007 James Bond movie starting Pussy Galore and let him know that Ms Galore is not around anymore but he can watch this fine movie with his new gift of pussies a plenty.

That's what happens when a person blindly takes one's word as truth.  Yes MC, OSU is not a member of Big XII wrestling.  I'll take the "L".   The whole UU to the ACC was a crook of crap and it was started by an OSU fan.  I'm now hearing they have a stick up their asses about the Big XII not inviting them to join.

6
Considering the teams that are already in the Big XII conference for wrestling only, I don't see why Oregon State couldn't as well.

I was told that they already are.

An Oregon State fan started the rumor Saturday on X and a sports writer took off with this news and started an article on it.  It blew up from there.  It's rumored that the OSU fan was hoping Utah would leave the Big XII to make an open spot for OSU since they have Wrestling in the Big XII. LOL

Just wondering what the 2.7 billion dollar NCAA settlement does to KU's stadium plans?  Many schools are changing or dropping their stadium plans.

Maybe Mrs Alito was distressed, in fear for her life

They should have booted his Trump-loving ass and threw his bitch in jail.  This country needed strong language to show rule breakers don't get any slack in this freedom-loving government of ours.

The thing that pisses me off so much about guys like Abbott and John Cornyn (senator) is that I don't think they're true believers. They know better and STILL choose to be garbage humans.
i’ll agree with you on Cornyn but Abbott has bought in fully .

I discovered yesterday that Russia is the largest country in the world.  Not China or Africa.  Amazingly, those greedy MFers want more land.

Guys... LFBIQ here but isn't Arrowhead a little small for an SEC stadium?  That's got to be an immense amount of pressure on our friends.  :-(

Vanderbilt has only 40,300 seat capacity.

My dad and fellow farmer always said a good man could quarry and lay a rod (16.5 ft) of rock wall in a day.

i can make no claim to being a good man, but that seems like an impossible amount of physical labor to complete in a day.

Shoot. I could lay a rod in a day easily.

Whoa, this is a family blog.  :surprised:

Looks like something one would dig out of the '90s closet.

The scenario is SEC grabs UC, UNC, UVA, and KU.  This is very hard to believe since Duke is UNC's revelry and doesn't come with the 85 million exit fee and Big XII GOR.

Free range/ bush cattle would hop over that wall without looking back.  We rented pasture to feedlots that brought in grass calves from federal land every spring and loaded them up in early fall.  We have hedge posts every 10 ft w/twiss on stays 3.5 ft apart on very tight 5 wire bared fence.  It was five feet high and those wild MFers would jump over or break the fence if they got their heads in it.  All the farmers bordering us had cow/calf operations with very shitty three/four wire fences.  My job was to ride fence and make sure the windmills had the water tanks filled every fricking day.
Grass calves are yearlings weighing 450-600 lbs in their physical prime.  No doubt some of those wild af horny af steers would clear it with the smell of love immenating from the neighbors pasture.

These old girls are 5-7 years old at 1,400 lbs with a calf not likely to follow... part of the year, these gals are contained by a single hot wire.

We did get cattle from Mississippi for a time that had some "ear" on them.  Some of those wild boys would make a leap for it in the sorting pens.  Pretty sure we added a pipe or two in the alley to curtail the escapees.

We had around 300 acres for our cow/calf operation.  We didn't have problems keeping them in and our fences weren't anywhere near what we had for the free-range cattle.  We also shared a limestone fence with a neighbor that was around 600 feet long.  I don't know who or when it was built, but it was 3 wire with the posts around four ft. tall and basically maintenance-free.

It's really telling that SEC & big 10 have 5, Big XII has 4, and the lowly ACC only has two.  This doesn't look good for the ACC.

These mini cattle intrigue me.

Like, what is their purpose??

If I had a hobby farm and eff around money I'd put a couple on there depending how much they cost. My uncle is an IRL full time farmer/rancher and had like 5 mini ponies (They have made an appearance in this thread) that he just moved around small pens to eat weeds (Old pig pen/random 5 acre pen/junkyard). I think he originally had them to pull little carriages in parades when his kids were little and then they just hung around.

Also can't you get some tax exemptions if the land is classified as "Farmland"? Throw a couple of these bad boi's on there and all of a sudden your land is a "farm" and taxed less?

Not with horses.  Crops and cattle land do qualify.
