Yeah, cross = 1 is a stretch, but to get 3 for skull you basically just have to assume that the tats symbolize MS-13, which kinda defeats the exercise. Unless you assume it refers to the 3 (visible) orifices, I guess.

The interviewer was quickly trying to pivot off the topic. Trump mistakenly thought it was because Trump caught him in a lie.

Pretty obvious it was actually because the interviewer knew it was going to be a huge waste of time to explain the photo and he wanted to ask other questions.
