Kirk Shulz ends his campaign of terror against the CFP 5+7 format, and so it is now approved.

https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39563282/cfp-unanimously-approves-5+7-model-new-12-team-playoff

Also, sounds from the article that they are willing to decouple from the bowls for the playoffs, at least a little bit.  That would be wonderful.  The grifters in charge of bowls add zero value to the process.

I think Bowls would have more credibility and be more entertaining if they made it harder to qualify.  Do it like it was years back and make the minimum number of wins to 8.

Does anyone know what the ACC's network pay is per contract with ESPN?  If you guessed $8 million per school per year you are correct.  The rest of their annual payment is a combined total of the ACC network pay, bowl games, and CFP money.  That gets them to the mid 30s with only an increase of 4% annually.  LOL No wonder FSU is jelly of UCF.  If anyone thinks they won't hop on over the Big XII if BY will take them just does know much about Athletic Department greed.

The ACC has both a grant of rights, and a flat exit fee of "three times the league's operating budget" which is currently $130M, which run through 2036.

FSU will only leave when (Revenue from new conference) + (Private donations) => (GOR) + (Exit Fee).

I suppose (Revenue from new conference) could include a signing bonus or something to help FSU offset the cost of their ACC GOR, for example.  I doubt that the big 10 or SEC will be willing to pay to get FSU...I'd think they both would like to have them, but it seems far fetched to think that they would bend over backwards to do so.  I think it's unlikely that the Big 12 membership would agree to take less money in order to fund a get out of jail fee for FSU.

So, my bet is that FSU is stuck where they are until they have private donations >= $130M, AND GOR has only a small number of years left on it.  My guess is that FSU leaves the ACC around 2034 or so.

Pete, I think you're missing the point.  The ACC is only getting 8 million from the ESPN network deal, so the multiplier should be the number of years remaining plus the exit fee.

Guys are you forgetting we also have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running as an Independent; verified by the Super Bowl add.  This option beats the crap out senile old farts to choose from.

Yes, Country and MAGA go together like milk and honey.

saying someone who is good at sports or something is "crack" or "cracked"

I just heard my kid and her friends use that this weekend!

Rusty, you need to explain to your daughter that they are getting close to black slang "cracker".  LOL

Sorry I prefer my food delicious

For some reason, I thought the only posts that made me want to throw up chunks were from TBT.  Now I know there are others.

I'm kinda horned up at the possibility of watching KU at Sporting Park (or w/e it's called). That seems like a fun venue for watching football.
it would be most similar to your new design at the booth and I agree that it would be a great venue.  i’ll probably go to one of the unlv game

I smell a potential PAK opportunity brewing ...

If you threaten me with a good time I will call you on it.

I picture clams and stone fully playing the part as the most obnoxious hox fans in the park. scarfs, soccer chants and all. really doing it big. the type that would make even a rob riggle blush

Nobody knows soccer crap.  Soccer is for momma's kids who weren't brave enough to play real football.  Of course, they have a room full of participation trophies to prove they played.

They pump JD coming back just to set themselves up to play in Arrowhead in front of 40k fans in an 80k capacity stadium.  Bad optics.

40k is wishful thinking

So are they tarping half the stadium and adding store mannequins and SEX DOLLS to substitute for Tay Tay?

66
I'm still   but it does sound like some kinky crap.

That's certainly an overreaction.

But sadly, Pedo Peter has allowed China to have the upper hand in places like Panama.

The CCA (China Construction America) has a lovely ocean view office just down the road from the canal and the Panamanian government is pretty tight with the ChiComs

Wait who’s Pedo Peter?

He was a mayor and now transportation secretary

Is it because he is gay; as we all know they are all pedophiles, right Dax?

Tony Altimore is a PAC/USC hack.  He had nothing good to say about the Big XII.  I like to flush his BS down the toilet before it stinks up the place.

Lmao tried to click it to see the replies but that goon blocked me.  I guess for liking tweets that called him out on his bull.  I'm honored.

Yes, he and PAC 12 lying sack of crap John Canzano are both very sensitive.

Today is Kansas Day, does that mean they had to wait to announce they were leaving Kansas to play their "home" games?
I had assumed so
The workaround here is to allow a buffalo to roam at arrowhead.
Is that some sort of sex thing?

2 part answer:
a) classic home on the range joke bc Kansas day
b) …yes

So what are we talking about here, buffalo humping?

peas, wtf

When I was living in New Mexico Mexican Restaurants served tacos and burritos that had peas and potatoes in them.  Also, all sauces were made from chiles and not tomatoes, and most of the dishes that had meat it was typically brisket, and hamburger was restricted to Taco Bell.

He won't pick a woman or minority because it would lose him votes

Well said, he won't get my vote; but not what you think, he's too rough ridin' old and demented.

I quit going to malls due to the hazard of slipping on wads that shoot straight to the floor of the restrooms from freaks who enjoy those gawd awful mannequins.  :D

Taco Grande was good to great back in the '70s & '80s but in the early '90s, they really went downhill, due to Taco Bell moving in and ruining the neighborhood.
