Kansas State Football / MILES TO GO
« on: October 19, 2019, 10:33:29 AM »
These shows are very entertaining.  They remind me of the Turner Gill vids a few yrs ago.  They are a bunch of misfits pretending to be P5 football players with a clown for a coach.  If Pig Snout can't get the kats worked up enough to beat these losers; he's got to go.  :adios:

I know SD, SDJ, TBT and many others on this board are fed up with the product on the field.  This "Walk on U" crap has got to stop.  We spend around 200 million on stadium improvements, and what do we get to show for it.
I Think It's Time For LHCBS To Step Down!!!

New Florida State logo leaked on shirt at Walmart store

http://members.jacksonville.com/sports/college/2014-04-03/story/new-florida-state-logo-leaked-walmart-store
By The Times-Union  Thu, Apr 3, 2014 @ 4:30 pm | updated Thu, Apr 3, 2014 @ 5:03 pm

Florida States current logo, left, and reported new logo.

Florida State has prepared a revamped logo in 2014, but it may be old news before it’s unveiled on April 11.

The new logo was reportedly spotted by a Tomahawk Nation reader on a shirt sold in a Walmart store. The school says it won’t comment on anything related to the logo until the unveiling next week.

The school is continuing to use the Seminole head as its logo. Previously, Florida State vice president for university relations Liz Maryanski told ESPN: “The changes are very minor and the primary thing people will see is consistency in the garnet. If you go into a sports store and look across the store, you’ll see as many shades of garnet as there are T-shirts, and we’re trying to get consistency in our colors.’’ The Seminole Tribe of Florida has already agreed to the changes.

The official unveiling will occur one day before the Seminoles’ spring football game in Tallahassee.

Women playing football is nothing new, but this is a first.

The Texas Revolution of the Indoor Football League announced at a news conference on Friday that they have signed 5-foot-2, 130-pound Jennifer Welter, who will try out next month at running back.

There are pro female football leagues, and referees and kickers at the high school and college level, but Welter is the first woman in a men's professional league to play at a skill position.

Welter, 36, is no amateur either. She has played linebacker for the Dallas Diamonds of the Women's Football Alliance since 2004, and is a veteran rugby player. In 13 years in Women's Pro Football, she's an eight-time Pro-Bowler.

But she was presented with a new challenge when the Revolution came calling.

"I told them, 'I respect football first and foremost,' " Welter told the Dallas Morning News. " 'If this doesn't respect the game, if it's just some gimmick, I won't do it.'

"I don't know if I surprised them a little with that, because they said, 'You know, you could go  through part of training camp.' I said, 'No, no, no. If I'm going to go through training camp, I'm going to go through all aspects of it, just like the boys do.' That's what I believe."

Revs general manager and 1987 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown truly believes she can compete for the job.

"When you look at her resume, when you look at who she is, she's not a joke," Brown told the Morning News. "This is not a lady that does anything for laughing matters or just for stunts. This is something she's taking seriously. If she's going to take it seriously, guess what? We're going to take it just as serious."

Welter, who has a PhD. in psychology and a BS in business, has also been mentor and motivator throughout her career.

"I don't care if I make the team or whether I'm a superstar on the team," Welter said. "I want  people to see that there are girls who love football and know football and are dedicated, hard-working athletes. That goes much beyond this team."

Training camp begins Feb. 8 and the Revs kick off the season on Feb. 15.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Trolls are among us!

Inside the Mind of a College Football Message Board Troll

Urban Dictionary, your definitive source for all things Internet-related, defines "trolling" as the following:

TROLLING-

Being a prick on the Internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the Internet and, hey, you can.

This is what the word has become, an identity-less buzz term that has lost all meaning. Before, it took intelligence, familiarity with a specific topic and just enough sarcasm to start an Internet fire. After years of misuse and bad habits, however, it has become a parody of itself. Like your mom finding you on Facebook.

Trolling—the authentic variety involving well-supported conviction in an unpopular position, requiring the keyboard navigation skills of a surgeon—was thought to be extinct. It is not, although it's on the endangered list.

Quality trolling still exists, nestled deep in message boards of college football teams around the country. And with recruiting season set to engulf message-board servers everywhere, these trolls will rule the day once more.

That's where Will comes in.

Will, whose last name will remain absent to keep his identity secret, is a"professional" message-board troll. Operating with the message-board name CummingDawg22, Will trolls the way it was meant to be done.

You will disagree with him, perhaps to the point of destroying your keyboard or heaving your computer through your window, but he'll anger you—no, troll you—with just the right amount of football knowledge and sarcasm that you'll be lost in a troll trance.

If he's done that, his job is done. He accomplished this goal recently while starting a thread dedicated to the stupidity of the board he operates on. After all, quality trolling isn't about making friends.

IS goEMAW CRAWING WITH TROLLS?!?!  :horrorsurprise:

Jason Babon ripped out Andre Ellington’s dreadlocks”. Can you believe that an incident during an NFL football game where a player gets some of his hair yanked out.  All I can say is:

Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair  :D
