House temp dropped 8 degrees in 25 minutes in spite of having all new exterior walls and attic insulation. It was fun until this crap started and now I am out. That really sucks, but you should also direct your anger at Texas being Texas and deciding that having their own grid for the sake of being Texas was/is a bad idea.Yes, it really sets us up for failure when there is a winter storm warning covering the entire state for the first time ever occurs...Maybe we will be better prepared when the 2nd time ever occurs!

I just imagined they saw those wrecks and said "nope".
in the end, EMAW will always win.
Unless they are bringing tons of additional capacity online, I don't see an easy way out of this for Texans. As soon as the power comes back, heaters will be running like crazy in people's 40 degree homes...
have avoided any frozen pipes so far, but tonight will be the real test. i've never heard of negative double digits in kc in all my life
Is the Midwest in for some pretty nasty floods when we finally start thawing out?
We were supposed to get 12-20 inches today. I am ready with my snow shovel. So far, very little snow. Total bullshit.
