Under the radar....................................................................Kelby Brown 6'6" 195, transfer from Bethany has 2 years and a redshirt left, would like to see us use his redshirt to add some weight and work on ball handling as he was strictly a post. Not sure how his size would translate to the Big 10/12 postgame but it worked for Matt Seibrant so we will see.

Anyone find out where Robert Upshaw took his secret visit? Personally I think it's cool he's been able to get away for a couple of days.

Even though he reopened yesterday, I don't think that Michael Orris' recruitment will last beyond this weekend. Yes, you heard me right.

as long as ku & pnr are joined at the hip, mokan sorta needs kstate as much as kstate needs mokan.  plus mu's mokan guy went to illinois.

good info on the mu mokan guy sys.  didn't know that.

pnr guy, don't know what i was thinking.

To give ourselves hope, we definitely needed a backup PG. Not sure why Frank added two bigs to our team.

UW/SD can one of you make me feel better and just tell me already, that we're bringing in a DITR?   :excited:

I can't really give Johnson DITR status just yet. He told Nebraska(post Doc) "Thanks but no thanks" so that's a bonus there, it sorta sounds like Memphis and Alabama has been stringing him along.

He sounds OK though, I like him better than the annual Spring JC grab, we'll see what happens.

The 6’8” senior standout led the Vikings to the school’s first ever district championship last week at Parkway Central.

Johnson scored 12 points in the Vikings’ 57-46 victory over DeSmet in the Class 5, District 5 championship game. In the semifinals, Johnson had 14 points, 18 rebounds and nine blocks to lead the Vikings past Parkway Central 49-45.

In the regular-season finale, Johnson had 24 points, 22 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead Parkway North past University City 54-52.

For the season, Johnson is averaging 16.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and four blocks per game in leading the Vikings to a 21-6 record. Johnson is still being recruited from several NCAA Division I schools from around the country.

i would be completely content with a recruiting class of josh gray, michael orris and darrell johnson while showing watson and omari the door. especially if orris is the sacrifice we need to make at the altar of jerrance howard.

If we miss out on Gray and Angel transfers, well, that may be the final straw for me.

Full game for Michael Orris, since highlights don't make it easy to see how good a kid really is.

Yeah, I posted that before watching it. It as tough to watch. He seemed to switch from PG to SG, but only took one FG (1/1 for 3) that I saw. Quick hands, not quick feet. It looked like he got flustered fairly easily. The second coming of Will Spradling (except with the ability to make 3's)?

I lived in StL from 1977-95 and DID a ton of Hoops Stuff there!

...My "contacts" say this about Darrell:
is closer to 6-8, than 6-6 [as listed on some places]
borderline Academic Qualifier
not much of a Scorer
Good Rebounder & Post Defender
"not as good as Posts already @ KS"
likely won't contribute until Junior Year

...just what I was told!

Gray>Orris>Spradling

look spradling had an incredibly disappointing year, but there's no way in the world he isn't better than orris.
