Put 2/3rds of your pitching budget toward two studs and then have them pitch on three or four days rest and have them go 4-5 innings and have a rotating bullpen cover the rest of the innings and days. You would just need so many arms to do it and you would need to constantly replenish your farm system because other teams would snatch up guys in the rule 5 draft that you showed can pitch.
The Royals are going to hang right around .500 all season aren't they. Just good enough they'll keep Shields but not good enough to justify going and getting anyone good at the deadline

how can they be so bad at foundational things
i think they might be right around the same record as last year, which means we have a super fun summer + september ahead of us
