I say the Chiefs ride Cassell to 9 wins this season and a first round playoff loss.

Romeo is just a big teddy bear.  I think I like him.

Cassel isn't flashy, but he's as good or better than a few other qb's in recent history that have won super bowls in the last decade or so... (see Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson.)  And before you say that each of those quarterbacks were backed by great defenses, I believe and I think some "experts" would agree that this Chiefs defense, if it progresses the way it should, could also be a "great" defense.  Not to mention the fact that he also has the help of a very good cast of offensive playmakers that the other two qb's didn't necessarily have.

dammit sabi don't make me be mean to you  :curse:

Sorry guys I was drunk last night. Cassel sucks.  9 wins and a playoff loss

i'm shocked that kc fans are still relatively positive. 46 combined seasons between chiefs/royals without a single solitary playoff win. and both franchises keep doing the same exact things that have contributed to this horrendous streak.

the chiefs have really built a nice little roster. a good defense that may become great. and more offensive talent than any chiefs team save the priest/trent/tony g years. the only missing link is the most important one. it's so ass backwards to build a football team this way, and it's why the 95 and 97 chiefs got bounced from the playoffs without winning a single game. qb never caught up to the defense. this time they better do whatever it takes to get a qb in the 1st round and take an honest shot at winning a SB.

aaron rodgers, drew brees, and tom brady have all gone to the super bowl without good or even average running games the past few years. you could probably throw peyton in there too. the league has changed so much. you absolutely have to have a qb who can win games by himself.

Sorry, I forgot about Manning. Nine wins will not be enough to win the west or get a wild card, so I'm changing it to 9 wins and no playoff birth.

Question:  Is kent babb on the Chiefs front office payroll?  Its an entire article about why they don't really need Bowe.

absolutely ridiculous. couldn't believe what i was reading. the kansas city media needs to take a field trip to new york or philly or something, learn to ask tough questions, write critically, etc..

The Chiefs organizations would absolutely melt down before our eyes if they faced half the media scrutiny that many other NFL teams face.

IMO, Cassel is an above average QB with a competent person calling the plays (not Haley)
Oh, these guys are still around?

Just two years ago he threw 27 TD's and 7 INT's and made the Pro Bowl. He isn't great but I think that he's proven he is above average.

Elway and Manning both have shin veins.  Weird.

Wonder if Cassel has em.
