baby birds do develop amazingly fast, but not one week fast.

that was a pretty horrible story, emo.

A couple of the eggs hatched

So I left town for about a week after I snapped this picture and when I came back the birds were all gone, no trace of anything in the nest.

I hope they made it out alive but I don't think the develop that fast...Maybe one of my garter snakes got em :-(
The mourning doves were hatched and out of the nest in 3 to 4 days. And due to the place where the nest is, 3 stories up, I don't think a predator got up there and I didn't see their dead bodies.

Of course they may have hatched earlier than I thought.

that was a pretty horrible story, emo.

1)  nothing died
2)  they have yet to return

Might you be offended I listed reptiles so low on my ranking?

Also in addition to large variety of birds and rabbits, apparently foxes come in from to time to grab a rabbit. Would love/hate to see that.

Nope. Just stood up on the railing and saw his head move. What a weird way to perch.

i saw an enormous owl as i was walking into the new belgium brewery last weekend. also, there were maybe 20 dogs inside the taphouse. tons of really good boys in there. you will feel like a loser if you go in there without a dog.

Yeah, how could that thing support its own weight outside of the water? No way that thing is just walking around on dry land.

There are species or African crocs or alligators or whatever just as large that walk many miles over land every year.

This little guy evacuated the comforts of his mother into an environment that wasn't as warm. Been working all day to get him going again.

it's a lamb under a heat lamp in a red plastic box, so I could see how it looks fried, but you're wrong and it isn't
