55 degrees with rain and 40 mph wind this weekend's baseball tourny. Love spring because the weather is so good.

This sounds pretty dreamy right about now.

This happened today in Canada, after we hit upper 90s for 4 straight days. It is very nice

summer in NYC is just a delight. It's hardly gotten above 90 all summer. But I've heard August and September are the worst.

going back to chum's post about seasonal health, I definitely want to booze outside constantly and cook at home less (because it gets hot as eff if you cook on a hot day) but I'm also walking and sweating more. so it might be a wash.

Can you grill outside?  Or do you live in a NYC high rise apt?

the power was out for about 18 hours sunday/monday and i was worried that the dog might die while i was at work, which isn't a concern i'd have in spring, fall or winter.

My place has three units with the owner in the bottom unit. They have exclusive access to the back yard and don't share. There is a front patio where the trashcans are and I have seen people in the neighborhood put grills there but we haven't asked our landlord if we could. Maybe next summer but I'm guessing they would say no. Grilling was definitely a go-to during no-AC-california hot days

On especially hot days that we feel like we need to dine in we get the good meat and bread from the deli and make "italian" sandwiches

So another Canada (well specifically the town I am in) thing, you can actually have grills, actual grills, on apartment decks here. It blows my mind that is allowed.

Where else would the actual grill go?

Banned/not allowed cause it's a giant fire hazard?

I've had grills on apartment/condo balconies since KSU.

If the weather was like this everyday (or even half of the year) the population here would be bonkers

I took my laptop out to the front porch and "worked" for about 2 hours yesterday, it was every bit as glorious as you could imagine.  Will I do it again today?  Probably?!

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

If you have a whole house fan you can suck in the cool morning air and avoid the AC probably.  Also homes with a lot of thermal mass can do this more efficiently.
