Russia claims Ukraine is shelling close to the plant.

I really don’t think it’s all that meaningful of a distinction between “Russia is sabotaging a Ukrainian nuclear plant” vs. “Russia is using a Ukrainian nuclear plant for cover.”

If they wanted to sabotage the plant, they could have done it long time ago. 

I do appreciate how #necongE likes to pick and choose when it's appropriate to use civilians and civilian structures for cover.

FYI (and I'm sure you avoided reading about it on the link I posted) but AI has already called out the Ukrainians for using human shields.

In Poland there’s 20-30,000 contemporary Jews and many times more with Jewish heritage. 

There’s sort of a reason there’s not more Polish Jews and Ukrainians helped play a role in that.

This article on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is a great example of the press being completely unwilling to state the obvious clearly.

Russian forces are occupying the power plant and using it as a shield to shell Ukrainian positions. This is of course a war crime and should be condemned, but the NYT (and pretty much any other source) won’t state the obvious that it is Ukraine that is shelling the nuclear plant.

“Each side has blamed each other” and NYT just kind of shrugs its shoulders. This is easy enough to see through but now there are claims that there will be sabotage there and both sides are preemptively blaming each other, would be nice if the coverage could enlighten rather than obscure.
