Imagine a world where the previous administration hurt you so much to kill an entire rebel board and then act obtuse when new liberal leadership takes over existing  rebel board. Literally, couldn’t be me!

It’s simple science, just like the vaccine (that doesn’t work).

Where are you getting the science here?

Honest question for you: would you take Biden’s botched exit this year or a (realistic) “competent” exit 4 years from now?

i don't know why i would accept these limited options, but if some bizarro world genie offered the choice, i'd try to defer long enough to find out the end result of biden's exit.

if i was denied that as well and was forced to choose right now, i think i would choose to defer exit for another four years, but i would have low confidence that i would be making the right choice.

I didn’t mean the choice to be arbitrary. Assuming Biden is simply incompetent in this area (which I would believe), leaving now and in the way we did could still objectively be the right decision when the alternative is waiting for another president to do it.

That second part is obviously a generous assumption, given that we haven’t had another president even sincerely try it in like 20 years, much less there being any indication it would go smoother in someone else’s hands.

i don't think leaving in the way we are leaving could be the objectively right decision, but it's certainly possible that a past or future exit could go or could have gone worse.

https://www.humanrightsfirst.org/sites/default/files/Evading%20the%20misuse%20of%20biometric%20data.pdf

We understand that the Taliban is now likely to have access to various biometric databases and equipment in Afghanistan, including some left behind by coalition military forces. This technology is likely to include access to a database with fingerprints and iris scans, and include facial recognition technology.

Overall, it is very difficult to avoid recognition based on biometric data, but the following fact sheet outlines some things you can do, and some you shouldn’t.

Damn, the CIA now meeting with the Taliban.

Is there a dictator, oligarchy or hyper conservative theocracy this administration won't coddle?

#blueanon is going to roll straight to that and completely leave behind the fact that U.S. helped the Taliban become one of the best equipped military entities in the region overnight on top of giving them all kinds of capability to ID those Afghans who helped the United States.

Your movement had a total meltdown every time Trump talked to anybody and your movement saddled up with Liz Cheney and the NeoCons to do everything they could to stop any withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Now that your guy has created a clusterfuck of mismanagement, we're over there begging the Taliban not to hurt our people.
