I didn’t mean the choice to be arbitrary. Assuming Biden is simply incompetent in this area (which I would believe), leaving now and in the way we did could still objectively be the right decision when the alternative is waiting for another president to do it.
That second part is obviously a generous assumption, given that we haven’t had another president even sincerely try it in like 20 years, much less there being any indication it would go smoother in someone else’s hands.
i don't think leaving in the way we are leaving could be the objectively right decision, but it's certainly possible that a past or future exit could go or could have gone worse.
This is mealy mouthed horse crap.
You want to take the position that Biden leaving was bad and just kind of gesture at the chaos of losing a war and take absolutely zero time to even address what was happening for the previous 20 years not what the game plan was for the next 20.
It is cowardly to hide behind the pictures of afghanis suffering in the last two weeks and act like a single rough ridin' crap had been given about the Afghani people for the last 10 years about this topic by anyone here. Go ahead and prove me wrong.
Sorry the afghanistan national military after trillions of dollars and untold hundreds of thousands of man hours of training and funding and outfitting didn’t give a eff and our puppet jetted town with millions of dollars.
Fine to blame Biden, but to be lectured by the likes of Tony rough ridin' Blair about this is some foreign policy disaster is too much to go unconnected upon. You are on the wrong side here.
