“The problem with this country is that not enough people think exactly like me.”

JB: There is no "black" or "white" church, just one true church made of people who hold the same theological positions as me.

Also JB: Here are some examples I found on an internet search of how bad the Black church is and why Black people need to come back to white churches now that people from white churches are  not blowing up Black kids while they attend Sunday School.

this entire thread is worth reading. I've been a big fan of Phil Vischer's podcast for a while. Most weeks I listen.

Plus, he unironically wants the church (not most black churches, though) to control the government.

The funniest Bee stories are the non-political ones.  But those don't go viral or get fact checked by snopes.

Holy Post is usually a good listen although it seems like they've had the same topic for about six months now -- "Why are evangelicals so attracted to Trump?" They have some interesting interview guests.

I like the cover page that begs for money so they can prevail against Big Tech, the liberal media, and anyone else who tries to take them down. Plus, if you subscribe, you get a free book from them on wokeness.

idk I've never been to their page but like there's one where the motion lights go out in the middle of a presbyterian church service due to lack of motion.

4 -5 years ago, most of their stuff was like this -- enjoyable jabs at the quirks of different denominations.

okay. I didn't get that "shelf-stable soybean oil" referred to baby formula. I think there is a thing going around in some circles about the evils of "seed oils." Haven't looked into it much.

yeah. they had better not come after the soybeans. sounds like maybe soybeans are replacing corn which replaced wheat as the new food bogeyman.

It's really just a shot at the lactose intolerant. They don't give a crap if you eat soy products, but they care deeply if you don't drink milk that came from a cow.

I guess this is the official Phil Vischer thread. I thought this conversation between Phil and Esau McCaulley about the misappropriation of MLK’s legacy, religion and race was fascinating:
