The veggie tales guy is unflinching, it's pretty outstanding. None of the people responding to him will answer his simple question, they're all replying with indignation but not actually answering the question.

JB: There is no "black" or "white" church, just one true church made of people who hold the same theological positions as me.

Also JB: Here are some examples I found on an internet search of how bad the Black church is and why Black people need to come back to white churches now that people from white churches are not blowing up Black kids while they attend Sunday School.

This comment made me curious, and it really is incredible when he turns to “but hey since we’re talking about the black church” and calls out the “prosperity gospel” as being a particular problem in black churches when like 90% of people associate that term with a single decidedly white face.

It is also such a bizarre thing to on the one hand acknowledge that the black church was excluded from the white church due to racism but then to say there are all these problems with the black church and “oh I wouldn’t even use that framing because we shouldn’t talk about this along racial lines”
