I'd agree this seems like the way to go.  It all does seem arbitrary until these health departments start publishing some results from their contact tracing.  Where are people getting it?  I'd assume they think inside restaurants and bars since that seems first to be closed.  Bars for sure because we've seen the stories.  Evenso, why by now do we not have some data around what contact tracing has found?  Give people the data so they can make decisions to keep themselves safe.

I think "Sweden"ing route should include nationwide masks.  I'm not insane.  I'm just saying this opening/closing of counties isn't working, we're too mobile of a society.

True, it's dumb.  Sandwiches just seems like the easiest thing to do if you're trying to game it.  Though I imagine there's some different permitting/licensing that comes into play for a "bar" vs. a "restaurant."

The exodus from city living in the NE and MW has begun.

New home sales, predominately burb living was up 111% off the recent bottom in the NE and is nearing a 13 year pre mortgage bubble high.

The inner city living exodus has also begun in the MW, with new home sales, again, predominately in the burbs up 33% off the recent lows.

In total, overall new home sales have now rebounded completely across the country to being up 6.6% YOY.

Prediction:  The New Downtown's springing up in cornfields and grazing pastures will explode in the coming years.

I recall it being a thing where aggieville bars would have "free food" for a thursday or friday happy hour and all drinks bought during the free food period would be counted as food, all to get caught up to the 30% requirement.
