 I saw something yesterday from a study in China talking about reducing risk for secondary transmission in home with masks, cleaning, distancing that showed some efficacy, but it wasn't clear to me exactly by how much.

Thanks Mich, when I first read the Chinese one I linked I was surprised it was only 23%. I would have thought it would have been higher, but I guess mitigation helped lower it to 23%. But that value seems in line with what you linked and in there I'm seeing ~10% as well, which I'm guessing is also linked to mitigation.

I've seen a portion of that study before in regards to lower rate of infection for children by age.

the chinese one is pretty interesting, were people just wearing masks around the house? Also surprising how effective sanitizing was (and made me think back to that slate article about droplets vs. airborne)

Even when counting those that die in motorcycle accidents as Covid-19 deaths, it doesn't take any sort of genius to understand that if the multipliers the CDC is talking about are even remotely true that means that overall mortality rate plummets.

The CDC laid out 5 possible mortality rate scenarios and ultimately settled on a .004% SARS-Covid-19 mortality rate.

Swine Flu for example had an CDC mortality rate of around  .00014% when using the median of a CDC estimated range of 8k to 12k swine flu deaths with a range of CDC estimated 65m to 75m infected.   Thankfully it was vastly less lethal than SARS
