since trump has described himself as a "wartime" president, i'll go ahead and complete the analogy for him. this is like if in WW2, the pres was like "the country was attacked, but i'm gonna leave it up to the states to respond" and then all the states had to form their own militaries and then they had to execute 50 different d-day landings with 50 different plans. but, even worse than that, all these state armies have to fight against each other as well in the sense that they have to outbid each other for guns, ammunition, uniforms and other equipment because the federal government won't give them any from the national stockpile. now does it sound like leaving it up to the states is a good idea?
