Dallas apparently just reached herd immunity. I guess it doesn’t mean quite as much since there are still vulnerable pockets, but 80% either vaxxed or had it now.

Is that really bad US map tracking vaccine-eligible adults only or all people?
:adios:

Millions of people already have immunity.

Natural immunity:  Hopefully its still a thing in a couple of years

Would probably be better if it was less of a thing. I’d rather go the San Jose route to herd immunity since Dallas had better odds of creating a dangerous variant along the way.

It would be interesting to see a list of deaths broken down by registered party.

It wouldn't just be interesting, it would be useful to understand this to be better prepared for future pandemics. If one party is dying at a higher rate, that's bad! let's fix it!

Considering vaccines have only really been fully available for a couple of months I don't see how that's helpful.

It would tell us if ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine are a treatment for COVID!

I don't think you're trying very hard to see how it could be helpful. which is fine

So one party can argue with the other one that they are right? Don't think pre vaccine their would be any actual scientific help in it at all.

Yeah I feel like we already have a good idea of party breakdown for mask and vaccine use. Not sure what else deaths would be likely to reveal, but my guess is they’d skew closer to the middle than either of the other two metrics.

no it's so leaders can better understand how to message to both parties pre and post vaccine.

vaccine passports, hell yeah

https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2021/07/07/live-officials-discuss-upcoming-changes-restrictions-trans-pacific-travelers/

hell yes, although it's kinda crazy how tight they were able to be with testing results compared with vaccines. I guess they were giving vaccines out like candy which is a little different.

also a great thing our company is doing is allowing anyone who is vaccinated to just go about business as usual in the office but if you are not vaccinated you have to wear a mask. and hilariously in one of the Q&A sessions about it someone said we need to have a way for people who are vaccinated and still choose to wear a mask the ability to show that they are vaccinated so people don't assume they are anti-vax weirdos.

lol I've thought of this in "masks not required for vaccinated" places where the staff and lots of patrons are masked

Same at my work (minus the q&a) session. They also posted the stats after the deadline to send proof of vaccination and said we were at 95% nationwide who were either fully vaxxed or will be soon, so glad to know I don’t work with a lot of crazies.
