After reading that the idea still seems short sighted to me.

Why? We hoped for a 50 plus percent effective vaccine and data shows one shot is 80% effective. Nothing points to a booster being delayed as a negative thing.

The GLOBAL pandemic rages on.

China is doing great though, but another crack team from the WHO is gonna try again to figure out just what happened.  They won't, but by gosh they're gonna try really really hard and possibly send not one but two very sternly written letters to the Chinese Communist Party this time.   A good time for some of those folks to do some series damage on those WHO issued credit cards.

Just another word of advice for the WHO, take a face mask.  Not for the virus, China has that whipped.   The Air Quality in that region is very unhealthy, it was also very unhealthy yesterday and will be very unhealthy tomorrow.

But people like cRusty think that people wear masks because of diseases, how stupid, there are no diseases in China . . . it's because of some of the worst air particulate pollution in the world (if not the worst.  Every single day, day after day . . . China is your friend, and super super serious about the environment).

this is probably the least important outcome of the stumbling start to our vaccination effort, but it would seem to me that there is a lot of opportunity for vaccination providers to sell/gift doses, either after they legit expire some doses, or under the guise of having expired some.

The best explanation I could get was that they’ll only give it to those with a certain insurance coverage that can only be had by people in nursing homes, and that there’s strict inventory control on any unused chips that go back to the bosses (who eventually trash them). So a boss could ‘chip me with the ones that’d be trashed, but I don’t have that plug.

It’s rough ridin' crazy that the chip’rs can’t get friends and family in for those chips, or even there being a public lottery for people to be on call to come get them if the scheduled people don’t take them in time.
