Sometimes when the executive and judicial branches try to go after the president for things he said he did, it is the duty of the legislature to give him unchecked powers.

About the only unchecked power I saw in any of this is a former VPOTUS of the United State bragging about getting someone fired in the Ukraine (and that person getting fired while basically being told the VPOTUS told he bosses to fire him).

What are the possible scenarios here?
1. Immediate resignation and return to Mar A Lago
2. Impeachment (would take too long, they say)
3. 25th Amendment (could send maga into more violent frenzy-ing)
4. Cross fingers and hope there are no crises that would require attention from a rational human between now and Inauguration Day

Option 1 seems like a best-case scenario??

They aren't required to have an impeachment trial. Just impeach, send it to the senate, and let them vote. Get the senators who support treason on record.

I think impeachment would prevent him from holding public office in the future, for what it's worth.

I don't know why non-MAGA pubs wouldn't want to prevent him from running in the future.

if there are enough republican senators willing to convict him now, then impeach him asap.  no need to impeach him in the house just for show, though.

If you can't get this president removed via impeachment, then the process is essentially useless
