Same for the 25th.

And yeah, to me impeachment seems like a no brainer for Republicans to back this time around.

1) It would prevent him from holding public office and therefore they could go into 2024 without having to worry about him blustering about potentially making a run at it. For the record I don't think he will actually run, but if he's still legally allowed to he'll talk it up for years and at the very least keep it up for the grift. If Trump is prevented from ever running again due to impeachment and conviction in the senate, all the 'pubs who have presidential ambitions could make a clean break from Trumpism and throw their hat in the ring without actually having to worry much about making MAGAs mad.

I think they'll still be courting MAGAs but it is good not having to run against Trump with an established base that's far more loyal to him than the party.

if there are enough republican senators willing to convict him now, then impeach him asap.  no need to impeach him in the house just for show, though.

I personally would like to see my senators put on the record. I'm all but certain that Marshall would vote against removal, but I'm curious about Moran.

We all know there isn't, so it's pointless.

It's ironic, sd voted for a guy who voted against during the impeachment, and dax voted for the guy who voted to convict.

What a world

Sasse would absolutely go against it on the grounds of "we need to heal, not be vengeful", "Rake you neighbors leaves"

It's sort of win-win because Sasse will cast his vote for however most of the other republicans vote.

I think impeachment would prevent him from holding public office in the future, for what it's worth.

I don't think this is true given he's already been impeached.

A lot of reports were saying that Pence is pretty pissed off at Trump, so it's probably worth reporting that he's still too big of a pussy to make himself President over the whole thing.

It’s not a scoop because even if Pence really was on board with invoking the 25th he’d say the same thing.

It’s just like an AD saying they have no plans to replace the coach.

Mr. Kellyanne Conway says 67 Senators are on board so far. This could happen if the turtle will let it.
