Played at the OP off Quivira. It was hella fun. Had a 4:30 tee off and got stuck behind an old people’s league, so we played two balls a hole. I par’d the 9th to win by a stroke. Snuck in 3 more holes after that. Great time with an amazing fellow cat. Ben Ji is doing well, guys!

Ole Steady Eddy got me again by 1 stroke  :shakesfist: but I'm putting a * next to it. I got a quadruple bogey on the 1st hole before we started playing 2 balls each so that hole shouldn't count IMO.

Without that quadruple bogey I would of beat him by 2 strokes.  :gocho:

Playing 2 balls each was a blast. Would Play each ball all the way through and just take the score from the lowest ball as your final score. Definitely made it more fun and if you knew one of your balls was in a good position already you could try some riskier shots with your second ball.

Also allowed us to keep a safe distance from the grouchy group of 2 old couples ahead of us.

yea it makes a lot of sense to play 2 balls. it's like, go and play 18 holes in 4 hours, or play 36 holes in 4.5 hours.

36 holes is a lot of golf. Don't you guys get a bit fatigued, or at the very least sore the next day? I'm assuming this board isn't exactly full of Koepkas...

When you hit the ball on the green every shot, it doesn’t matter.

I came really close last night to getting my first hole in one, guys. Also, I piss pounded the ball with the new rod. Played the OP again and we barely got 9 in and we started at 5. It's getting dark early now and I hate it.  :frown: Also, Ben Ji, we need to PAK sometime at their restaurant. Their specials are amazing!

I made my first hole in 1 yesterday on our hoopty farm course and will reward everyone here with a quick tour of all of the 9 holes/tee boxes on our course.

Here is the course layout superimposed over google maps. Its a 9 hole par 3 course where each tee box shares the same hole.

Holes vary from 110-160 yards.

Here is the "green" which is actually greener than the normal course since we water it every day. If you don't water it the ground is hard AF and your tee shots roll forever.

The hole is a 12" pot we buried in the dirt, flag pole is a old hoe and the flag is a Penzy Spices bandana that we found (lookies hippie as crap so we love the contrast on the farm course)

Behind the flag is our an old corral we mowed down that plays like a sand pit and the single water hazard of the course (a livestock water thing that leaks)

CAT RANCH LLC COURSE RULES

1 breakfast ball on the 1st and 10th holes

1 mulligan per 9

If your ball lands in the windbreak you are allowed to move it out of the windbreak without taking a stroke (this is to encourage us to find all the balls that land in the windbreaks).

If there is no decent grass where your ball landed you are allowed to move it 1 club length to find a better piece of grass. Also if a building we care about is in the way of your ball and the hole you are allowed to move your ball until you have a clean line to the hole.

Hole 1 is a 110 yard par 3 with a partially obstructed view. This is where I got the hole in 1 yesterday, bounced it just past the road and got a lucky bounce into the hole (still counts).

One of the easiest holes on the course.

Hole 2 is a 120 yard par 3 that seems pretty simple but when you have a 20+ MPH wind at your back its pretty easy to end up in the windbreak behind the hole using a wedge.

Hole 3. This one is a long 155 yard par 3 that follows the main driveway/rutway into the homestead. Gotta grip it and rip it on this one.

Hole 4. So you thought it was just simple tee shots hugh? Nope!

This is a 140 yard par 3 where you cant see the hole from the tee box. As long as you clear the diagonal windbreak you should be in good shape.

Hole 5 is a 120 yard par 3 that is typically the easiest hole on the course but if you go right and your ball rolls down the cart path/ruts it could keep going for days putting you in a tough position. I've rolled one all the way down to the gas tank.

Hole 6 is definitely the toughest hole on the course. Its a 160 yard par 3 from the pony pen where you have to clear a windbreak at 120 yards with 5-10 mini ponies aggressively circling you as you tee off. I melt down on this hole all the time.

Hole 7 is a pretty simple 130 yard par 3 assuming you can ignore the mini ponies circling you desperate for attention.

Hole 8 is an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Its only 115 yards but its 100 yards to clear the mowed down corral/sand trap. Depending on the wind I've hit a wedge/9/8 on this hole.

Hole 9...man I hate this hole. No wiggle room for error. 120 yards to clear the mowed down corral and 130 yards to the hole. Also if you hit it 10 yards to the right you are behind a windbreak, 20 yards to the right of the hole you are in the cattle pen by their water feature.

20 yards to the left and you are in more windbreaks or hopefully another fairway.

The only safe way to play this hole is to use an 8 iron and hopefully land it in the "fairway" behind the hole and pray for a par.
