Do the 52 targets extend into the upper red area?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/killing-of-soleimani-follows-long-push-from-pompeo-for-aggressive-action-against-iran-but-airstrike-brings-serious-risks/2020/01/05/092a8e00-2f7d-11ea-be79-83e793dbcaef_story.html?arc404=true

Also, as anyone with a brain knew watching him today, Pompeo has been lying his ass off on the justification.

Why was he in Iraq?

Iraqi PM says he was there on a diplomatic mission. I don’t know, Do you have the answer?

No, but the old “diplomatic mission” is humorous.

Is the underlying claim here that it is noteworthy that the Leader of the Qods forces that has proxies throughout the Middle East was in Iraq meeting with a militia leader and political leaders?

Trump already gave up on pretending this was to stop an imminent attack.

Well there had already been numerous attacks.

The fact that people like you are trying to paint this as the same thing as some dude on the CIA payroll handing over some dubious intelligence to get a personal enemy taken out by a drone strike is both telling and hilarious.   The file on this dude was massive.

He was most recently killing ISIS for us in Iraq. Working with scummy people (like the saudis for instance) is nothing new so what’s the real reason? Is there an strategy here?

LibBot Nation:  Oh my lawd (clutches pearls) he’s just shooting from the hip.

Numerous stories:  Planning for various options against Iran underway for months.

LibBot Nation:  Only we can take out terrorists.

Let’s be clear, all the centrist dems making process arguments are bad too.

@sonofdaxjones why does everything always have to be a comparo between their guy and your guy? I mean, doing bad/stupid crap is doing bad/stupid crap.

He's not going to answer you nic, just like he didn't answer when I pointed out that most liberals actually hated obomber for killing innocent brown people. Chingon got it right though, dax isn't even a trumper, he's still mad a n-word was president for 8 years, and that anger informs all of his opinions, it's why he can't stop talking about him.

Like, this is exactly how dax's brain works.

[Obama does something bad.] "Geez, Obama is bad."

I thought KK was in favor of curbing the president’s war powers.

I guess you could just keep complaining about Presidents abusing that unchecked authority, but sure makes sense to me to have a discussion about what a President is even constitutionally allowed to do.

You’re hilarious.   I point out the previous administration because the vast majority of LibDerps didn’t give a eff what the guy did.  You keep talking about the LibBots who were mad about the stuff he did, that’s an extremely small, tiny little fraction of the collective LibDerp movement.   Everything I’m “mad” about has to do with the unmitigated foreign policy disaster that was the Obama Administration that’s now playing out today.

So, you keep talking about race like a dumbass and I’ll keep talking about policy.

Speaking of shitty Obama policy, nearly a decade later the civil war in Libya rages on, now featuring Turkey.   Still waiting on the explanation as to why Libya had to be burned to the ground.   Yet the same architects of one disaster after another are the go to named and unnamed sources (mostly figments of partisan “journalists” imaginations) to tell us why Trump is doing it wrong.   The collective architects of the deaths of millions and the displacement of millions more are the go to for LibDerp Parrot Boy media.

SMDH

But yeah, it’s all because Obama was black. #jerk #eyeroll

Mayor Pete didn't question the President's authority to do this.  Biden didn't.  Most of the statements I've seen didn't.  If the dems whip votes to reclaim War Powers for Congress I am all for it.

This thread is bonkers.

https://twitter.com/rezamarashi/status/1214031169173348352

Oh yeah, the "unnamed sources" . . . if real, they're the architects of the killing of hundreds of thousands if not millions of people.   So let's listen to them.

All likely holdovers and life long policy wonks from previous administrations.

Next up, the killers and refugee'ers of millions of innocents tells us about the "great restraint" they had in regards to a known a terrorist.
